Doors wont close in cold weather

Anyone else having trouble getting the doors to close in cold weather? Mine has done it three times now… seems to be a mechanical problem. Hair dryer or WD40 don’t help.

Yikes not good. I just have the squeaky driver door and gear tunnel door when cold. Hopefully you got it figured out

I had my truck up in Northern Arizona in the low teens during a big snowstorm and didn't have any issues.

Do you know what the fix was? Today I have been climbing in and out through the passenger door since the door is now stuck shut. Support is investigating…

Guessing you have something sticking that got water in it and froze. I haven't pulled the door panel off so have no idea what it looks like under there.

Two times it was in the 20s, yesterday was closer to 10 degrees.

Happened to me today. Single digits / low teens cold here. Same as your video. I (temporarily) fixed it by locking & unlocking on the infotainment screen a few times and got it to function correctly. Went out to family dinner, came outside after & had to do same thing. Home now went outside out of curiosity, same thing again. Only drivers door. I will take better look tomorrow & report back.

Mine worked less than half the time this week in our super cold weather.

Today it was a little warmer (over 20°) and I didn’t have any problems and used the door dozens of times.

Had it at the grocery store and another trip when we got home - but on a rear passenger door.

I thought it wassomething my kids were doing. Glad to know it’s a Rivian issue tho. I’ll call

It’s 300 miles away in Bellevue (Seattle). It’s always a lot warmer there, so I’m sure it’s going to work fine for them.

It was really cold here over the last few days and I didn't have any issues. I did not have any water/snow/ice on my truck though as I garage it. I'm in the camp that thinks some moisture got in there somewhere and froze and made the mechanism stick somehow, but could definitely be a mechanical defect as well.
