For the first time this past week, I noticed that my range estimates in all purpose have started updating (referring to the "All purpose", "sport", and "conserve" 100% range estimates). They've slowly creeped up from 270 to to now about 280 - this is on 20" wheels. Interesting that it is increasing despite lower efficiency in winter, but I was just excited to see an actual change.

I've always been curious if I just happen to drive very much as the vehicle expects, or if the range estimator previously just held constant for all drivers, and I have read other people reporting that theirs never changed either.

I thought I might post a poll - have these 100% range values always been the same for you, always updated, or recently started updating?

I've only had the truck for less than a month, and it is my first EV. That being said, I'm pleasantly happy with the range estimates when arriving to a location I will often beat it in all purpose mode. Not the same I've heard about tesla.

I feel the same way. Hearing from friends how Tesla works, comparing how our ID.4 would estimate range - Rivian definitely seems the best. It seems to overestimate usage by 10-20% on a trip, and reign it in as you approach your destination.

well interesting results. Seems its probably not a universal change. I recently hit 10k miles, I wonder if that was a threshold for something.

My Tesla range predictor is very accurate when predicting remaining battery percentage over long distances, within a few percent. I found the miles estimate not to be good and leave it in battery percentage. When the nav system says I will arrive at the next charger with X% remaining and I am extremely confident in the estimate. Haven't got my Rivian yet so can't compare it, but Tesla's system is very good (when used in percent).

My range used to be 326 miles in conserve mode. Since the latest upgrade it is at 369 miles in conserve. I have about 10k miles on the truck and I love it. It's great to drive around town and way more comfortable on a long road trip than my wife's Tesla.

Wow that is a huge jump. Do you ever record your efficiency on trips? That would require like 2.8mi/kWh+? I haven’t driven much in conserve since it started updating so mine is still at the original 294 I think for the 20” wheels. Glad you’re enjoying the truck.
