In the years past, they probably would never flag and audit the EV credit but with the new funding for 60K additional IRS agents for audits, they probably will flag it, if it looks odd (like the new buyer claiming used EV credit in the same year as the original buyer EV credit - same VIN shows up).The only thing they can really do is view any relevant public social postings about your intentions and conduct an "investigation" and try to get you to admit your true intentions. Baring either of those, there's nothing they can do.
The think one should think about is what else will the IRS audit will look at, once you've been flagged and chosen for the additional attention
