" Reduced steering effort to maintain straight ahead driving on crowned roads. " Could be popular among the R1S owners!
Super happy about this one. Noticed this quite frequently and always had me wondering if it was an alignment issue, but on non-crowned roads it never seemed to be a problem.

Plenty of other awesome updates in here. More battery capacity! Yes please! Better thermal management for fast charging? Fuck yes!

I know the popular thing these days is to shit on Rivian on these forums, but man do I absolutely LOVE the OTA process. I am ecstatic that after 9 months my truck continues to get better and better, have more range, ride/drive better...

So refreshing coming from my past ICEs that only ever got worse with time.

For the few posters saying this isn't much of an update - Go take some fucking happy pills. You people are impossible to please. This is a great update and has a ton of really good improvements in it. Quit letting people piss in your morning Cheerios.

The problem I have is all the bugs that exist that aren't mentioned in the release notes. Maybe they'll be quietly fixed in this OTA? If so, great. But if not, then I am disappointed and annoyed. New features are great, but only if they're not breaking stuff or leaving existing stuff broken.

They released Tidal and the UI is borderline unusable. Alexa integration 100% does not work, at all. FIX THAT PLEASE.

There are more than a few fixes mentioned in this release. They're fixing things as they're able to. It might suck that the fixes YOU specifically want aren't in this update, but that doesn't mean they won't come. Be happy for the fixes and improvements that are there, and eagerly anticipate the ones you care about.

Certainly better for your mental health than getting bent out of shape because Rivian's priorities aren't your priorities :)

What I’d like:

Reverse has a creep mode. I prefer to control reverse with the brake vs the “go fast now” pedal.

When you hit the “home” garage opener, your front camera turns on and your mirrors fold.
An option for the home deal- I reverse into my garage and use the mirrors to not hit the garage frame :). Doing what you listed would make it impossible for me to park lol.

I was looking for the skip 15seconds in podcasts from the first day I received the truck. Though Alexa does it for whatever length you want hands free too.

The media interface needs a complete overall though, it is beyond basic and terribly clunky.

And why the flyout is still on the right side of the screen for calls and media is idiotic. So dumb.
Flyout is meant for the passenger to control- driver should use steering wheel controls- or at least that's what I've heard.

It would be nice to see them de-power the reverse a little bit, tho honestly, I've never had an issue with it. It took me 1 entire backup to figure out that I just have to be very light with the pedal. I back in and out of a garage daily, parking spots, etc etc, and never have any issues where I suddenly fly backwards faster than I anticipate. Take your time and you'll be fine :)

I think it is a great update too. And i love the updates! I love my Rivian. And I still love Rivian in general.

Not going to stop sharing concerns and issues, or as you call it, "shitting on'...as a collective group can cause improvements(as seen in much of this update).

So go ahead and benefit from all this discussion without "shitting' on Rivian. Good for you!

Edit: I wholeheartedly agree with you about the reverse thing. It's scary as hell if you've hit it a bit harder than you thought. This coming from someone who has to reverse with a fairly heavy downgrade into his garage with 5" of clearance from front to back when the truck is inside...

So fly out to the right IF there is a passenger which is not the case 99.9% of the time.

And a passenger is hanging up my phone calls?

When your scrolling through favorite artists and so on in Spotify it's one of the worst UI I've seen. The tiles are far too big. Reduce them in size and grid them for vertical scrolling. The horizontal scrolling is ridiculous.

Yeah, I don't agree with the flyout on the right either, but when I said that people chimed in with the passenger deal- makes a bit of sense to me even though I don't agree with it.

I don't have that complaint with the flyout because I use the steering wheel controls regardless.

Or some of us had Teslas for years, did all the work in improving them and giving feedback and now know for a fact that Rivian is intentionally holding back a landslide worth of OTA improvements.

Those posters only want one thing and it makes me sick.

Rivian has been tackling a lot of quality of life problems in their updates and it's been great. Still a few on my hitlist but most of them are down to being personal preference versus a need.

You work for Rivian or have insider information that this is occurring? Or do you have a different definition of "fact" than I do?
