When you use one mounted that way you’ll knowWhy did they mount them sideways?
I'm assuming it's because the cable connector is closest to the charging port. But imo it just looks awkward, the name should have be facing forward at least. When you use one mounted that way you’ll know
So I just used my first RAN charger today (Sacramento) and my first thoughts were that they installed the charging units the wrong way round. I even took photos thinking i was going to post something on this forum to double check. It was really awkward trying to bend the cable around the unit to fit it in the charge port. I was convinced they screwed up, to the extent that I checked YT videos and this forum to see if that was the case.I'm assuming it's because the cable connector is closest to the charging port. Thanks for that info.So I just used my first RAN charger today (Sacramento) and my first thoughts were that they installed the charging units the wrong way round. Basically don't drive right the way in. Have your truck sticking out a bit so that the cable reaches without bending it around. It's clunky but the charging flow rate was good. And its free so no real complaints.
I've accidentally parked too close to a station where I needed to access the cables at the front and I had to pull further away to be able to do it. One less problem with the stuff on the side. Why did they mount them sideways?
Huh? I used RANs 6x now and it’s super easy. Don’t have to twist the cable like at EA dispensers. The sacremento ones are a bit strange though. Should have installed them at curb level and closer inline with charge portSo I just used my first RAN charger today (Sacramento) and my first thoughts were that they installed the charging units the wrong way round.
