Canadian delivery timeframe

We got assigned a guide on Wed Feb 22. Had a call with them on Thurs Feb 23. I was told that my April/May delivery should be on track, if not sooner, as I am a Dec 2018 pre-order (LE R1S).

I was told once a VIN was assigned and 8-steps open it would probably be about 4-6 weeks until delivery. Once a VIN was assigned - they'd ship the charger (arrives about a week later).

Today - Monday Feb 27 - my 8-steps opened. Have a VIN assigned (high 5xxx) for a LE R1S. I'm just waiting on what depressing amount they will offer for our Tesla. I plan to go private or a local used EV dealer - but I want to know what my baseline is first (including tax savings). It's finally happening!

Will do! There is a small chance someone in my family may want to buy it - which would be the ideal situation. But otherwise we'll be looking at private sale (FB Marketplace - not eager to deal with that), or sale through a dealer who will re-list it (easiest - and I know its going to get listed vs just wholesaled off like if Rivian took it).

For f$@&'s sake, I might never get my truck. If they cancel my delivery today because of snow I'm going to flip. Yes, it's coming down hard but the roads are not terrible and it won't last all day. And I also can't reschedule, this is the only day I could book off work for a few weeks!

For f$@&'s sake, I might never get my truck. If they cancel my delivery today because of snow I'm going to flip. Yes, it's coming down hard but the roads are not terrible and it won't last all day. And I also can't reschedule, this is the only day I could book off work for a few weeks!

Just show up anyway. They'll make it happen I'd be more worried about someone crashing into me on the way home!

And not surprising. Trade-in offer is low.

Rivian offered me $36,000 for my 2019 Tesla Model 3 LR AWD with 45,000 kms and FSD. At least I know - but won't be taking that offer that's for sure....

sorry re the trade. Selling privately is a bit of a pain, but no tax now. so you should get a nice amount for it. Good luck.
