I have not connected to WiFi yet, and on average, seeing 3 days ~1-2% overnight (~8-12 hrs), and one day was 3% , outside temps around 40-50. Gear guard on. Parked outside in driveway. I think I'll hold off on Wifi for while longer.
I’m seeing the typical 1-2% per 24 hrs parked in a 50F garage. Better than when I first took delivery 9 months ago, but still needs improvement.
I'm actually seeing about 1-2% loss per day, too - since the 2002.02.03 OTA. Before that it was 3-4% per night with a known frunk sensor preventing sleep issue. I've read a few comments about excessive data transmission over WiFi from people's Rivians, so I was wondering if that made any difference, but that does not appear to be the case.

Also agree 1-2% still needs improvement.

I've actually exchanged some messages with the SVP of Software Development on Reddit and mentioned my vehicle seems less likely to sleep when plugged in at home and waiting for a scheduled charge to begin. He wrote back:

"we have some upcoming optimizations for this mode (scheduled charge). it will be part of future OTAs. will keep you posted."

At least it appears Rivian is aware and they are presumably working on future improvements.

I am noticing this as well - also the car when at home still presents the door handles long after I’m gone. I think it’s less likely to sleep when plugged in so I’m testing tonight unplugged.

For me vampire drain because of Phone as a key. In my case my garage wall is common to kitchen, dining room and master bedroom. Most of the time my R1S is not going to deep sleep and losing around 5% every day just sitting in garage.
I decided to get rid of Phone as a key and using key fob (proximity unlocks works fine with new update)removed nearby permissions (Android) in rivian app so I can still use lock ,unlock, controls etc in app. By doing like this my R1S almost in deep sleep and losing 1 to 2% at 45 degrees temperature in my garage.

I did a test last week, SW version 2023.2. Left it parked at 56% on last Thursday night (batteries cold, it was already parked all day) in a parking garage at work (no WiFi and certainly no Cellular, since I am in Germany). Gear guard off. Friday night, 53%. Sunday 49%, Tuesday morning 46%. So lost about 2% per day. Temps in the mid-30s up to mid 40s.

Summary: GG off, NO connectivity of ANY kind (fob, cellular, wifi), almost the latest software (2023.2) and still 2% per day. Something is obviously running at around 100W. Maybe I will do a test of shipping mode...

So I had something interesting happen last night - my truck is a 2023, picked up on Saturday running 2023.6.2. I decided to test the drain not plugged in for the evening. Gear Guard ON but inactive at home, connected to WiFi. At 6:45pm I started at 54% and 167mi range. I inadvertently checked at 9:30pm before I went to bed and range actually INCREASED to 55% and 169mi range which I thought was strange. In the morning at 5pm, it was back to 54% and 167mi range - essentially zero vampire drain. I drove to the gym (also cabin preconditioned my R1T, heat, etc) which is a 3mi round trip from my home and when I got back it was at 156 miles or range and 51% - clearly didn't align with the actual length of the trip but perhaps perconditioning used more power?

All that to say, it doesn't seem like Rivian's estimates are 100% accurate or a fluctuating based on ambient outside temperatures and a variety of other factors. However I will say it was positive to see that drain was virtually nil overnight based on the estimates.

My suggestion is to start pulling fuses over night until you track down which module(s) are causing the drain. I'd probably jump an Ammeter into the fuse block and start cataloging the drain at each.
I had a similar thought... but the R1T actually has two fuse boxes so that's a lot of fuses to pull!

you can't trust the percentage/range overnight as it is a status of the battery greatly based on temperature
You need to use one of the trip meter if you want to know the true Vampire Drain.

Makes sense. Will test tonight!

Using the trip meter method this is what I have for 24 hours. Left it overnight in 11°C / 52°F temps, secured parkade, GG off, PAK off. What the hell is it using 1.9kWh for?!

~80W/hr is probably all the electronics and microcprocessors sipping current even when in standby, occasionally turning on to check on things.. Maybe the LTE radio is always on? My small home network modem+router+switches consumes about 50W..

My next question is then: does all that really need to be on when in sleep mode?

I was crawling through the settings and found the option to completely turn off vehicle connectivity, but that would basically strip it of any usefulness. Wonder if turning that setting off would have a significant energy savings. I'm a weekend driver mostly and basically leave my R1T parked at home while I take transit in to work during the week. I don't need it checking in to the cloud, and I certainly don't need to be able to remotely activate climate controls when I'm an hour away.

Having it lose potentially 8-10% before the next weekend is not cool. Hurts more because my apartment parkade doesn't have any EV spots, at least not any that aren't 'small car only' in a terrible corner...

Agreed, I'm an energy miser too and hope Rivian figures out how to let the few of us who care so much about this to give us the option to conserve much more via some sort of hidden 'expert mode' shut everything off except bare essentials of allowing unlock and very infrequent cloud and system diagnostics in mild weather.
