I'm looking to add Rock sliders to my R1T. I've been waiting to see what becomes available but also get opinions on those that have purchased them and USE them as rock sliders. I have a Wrangler and through experience know not all sliders are created equal.

I've been looking at the EVS RMaxx

and Weistec.

Has anyone had experience with either in real world situations?
Can they take the abuse?

would love the feed back. I'm assuming both can be used as jack points as well.
Install pictures from underside would be great.

I've been waiting on my rockslider from EVS for the past ~5 months. TBH, depending on how urgent you need it (i.e. if you plan to do any serious off roading this summer), the best one is the most available, but they all appear to be significantly back ordered.

I was seriously looking at the Megawatt slider, and I like the kick-out design (more from a urban and utility function rather than off roading), but it is more expensive and similarly back-ordered (3 month wait)

Yeah, the kickout sold me originally. I've been running them since April and would not have them any other way. The build quality is just awesome - TIG welded, not mig. Obviously, I can't "compare" them to any other because I've only had these- but I've seen the 1EV's and I still would pay the extra for the Megawatt.....

have you taken any hits on them yet side or from the bottom?
Are you able to use the step as a jack point?

I've not hit anything to the side as of yet. As for lifting, I lifted the entire side of the truck off the ground from a single point on the outside rail with no problem.

I have a friend that has them as well and he did have side impacts with no issues.

I like the build of the Wisetec, but also appreciate the kickout on the Megawatt and can't decide which one to buy. Like others said, the backlog is long on all of them right now, so doesn't help me for this wheeling season regardless.

I know of several that pre-ordered from all 3 just so they could pick the first one to say it was ready- or at least to give them that long to decide a little more...

It's one my company is going to be making. This is the alpha build. Have a beta in process then we'll start taking orders.

Ahh wish I new about it sooner. Not having any options for bed caps was the reason I couldn’t commit to the R1T.

with the kick out at the rear how far out does the slider go beyond the rear wheel hard to tell from the photo. but looks like it might stick out two to three inches.

About 1-3/4" - This photo is straight down wheel to wheel and you can see it's just about the full diameter of the round tube.
