I wave at the Gear Guard cameras if I see a fellow Rivian in the parking lot I’m at. Little surprise for them later when they check the cams.?

This is funny as i was just saying this to my family yesterday when on highway seeinf another r1s. i propose the thumbs up. Universally accepted and wont be misinterpreted as something inappropriate?

I flash the beams if they are oncoming, pump the brakes (or let off the accelerator in one pedal mode) a few times if I see them behind me. If I see one at an intersection while we are waiting for the light, I give “the nod” or a casual one handed “Yo” wave.

I saw a nice R1S yesterday. They were traveling south on Hwy 101, near Siletz Bay, as we were returning to Lincoln City from Newport.

I did the Forest Gump wave and it cracked them up. It was nice to see another Rivian owner with a sense of humor.

There has been a sharp increase in the amount of Rivians we see ever since the RAN at Lincoln City Outlets went live a few months ago. Great to see so many folks being Adventurous.

With all these new rivian's on the road in LA no one waves. I saw 4 in the valley in a 10 minute span and no one waved or flashed their lights! A S did flash his lights back at me last week and his face looked as excited as my kids faces when they see another Rivian. (Okay, mine too)

Admittedly it's usually older folks who seem to not even see me. It's wld-- I can't not see a Rivian when I'm driving it makes me worry how well these people are paying attention to their surroundings.

I'm all about the hang loose sign, though since I tinted the front windows it's less likely people will see me. Sometimes I just wave empathically though with a big grin on my face.
