Here in Upstate NY I might see 1 or 2 other Rivians in a week. I find myself waving excitedly like Forest Gump. What’s your wave?

I call this the Rivian GAW, aka goofy a$$ wave. My kids hate me for it.

In the early days of my Tesla, the wave I would get from diesel pickup drivers used very little energy. It only required one finger.

I wink with the turn signal! One half-press of the stalk, wait to hear just one click, then hit the opposite direction to cancel it.

The wave is absolutely the worst thing about Jeep ownership.

I'll gladly go on a group ride with fellow PNW Rivian owners or share service horror stories, but no way I'm I going to wave at some stranger.

In fact I'm not acknowledging your existence whatsoever aside from not running into you of course.

Just because you drive the same non-farting vehicle has no meaning whatsoever. You could be a serial killer for all I know. Or even worse, you might be a Tesla driver too.

This, but the ? “rock on” sign, which also mimics the unique headlight config with two finger tips. Can be done with either hand, even when holding onto the wheel.
