Launch edition R1S

Hello, my guide has configured me with launch edition R1S? Is this a 2022 build? Currently delivery is in pending estimate limbo? Should I take a adventure model from shop?? I will have to pay 2500 more for the 20 “ wheels if I do that, I’m in vancouver, Canada, no guarantee that adventure model is any “newer”
Please advise!!

They are still building Launch R1S. It could have been built yesterday. Very unlikely to be a 2022.

My Launch Edition delivered back in February is a 2023...... very unlikely you'd be getting a 2022 just because it's a launch edition... but like others have said just ask your guide.

I’m pretty disappointed tonight as I had my exact build in the R1 Store, but in Launch Green…and I was waiting 5 mins for my wife to get home to show her before clicking yes and I lost it.

Thanks for all the good.advice, I will wait I guess,, not sure how long as there is no date window like there used to be, and my neighbour just sent me a pic of his R1S he picked up today and he was a post march 22 order date, guess it doesn’t matter when you order, esp if you are paying more!

I’m pretty disappointed tonight as I had my exact build in the R1 Store, but in Launch Green…and I was waiting 5 mins for my wife to get home to show her before clicking yes and I lost it.

Wonder if it was me. I had a reservation and saw a good build in R1 store on Wed and got it. It was a FG R1S Adventure Quad with 22 brights. My configuration was white with 20" wheels. But interestingly, this specific one did not have an upcharge for the 22" wheels while others had a price increase. It was a deal so I snagged it. It was tough, I like white and limestone but green is growing on my. My daughter says it looks like Sir Axelrod but he's a bad guy.

To answer OP... I just got my VIN yesterday. It is indeed a 2023 "launch edition" and my vin is 20***. I'm sure yours will not be old as they have way more demand then supply. Although, I came here to check the exact same thing.

I secured my R1S LE in June as well and it is a 2023. And I love it.

I ordered July of 19 vin 20*** and just received in route from factory to drop point San Jose two days ago. So it looks they are picking up some of the preorders slowly filtering them into the higher profit unit sales. Worse than that I put the money to buy it in thier stock at around $32.00 figuring it would go up and help but no such luck LoL.....

I chose a pre-configured a week ago and it was a "Launch Edition" however the VIN number was the latest number I could find (near 21,000) so I'm 100% they're building "Launch Edition" R1S vehicles at the same time they're building Adventure versions.
