Still drivable despite failing?

I just got off the phone with service. I was stuck at 90% for an hour before I called. They had me unplug and try a full reset, which didn’t work. Next step was lock it up, quit all open phone apps, keep 30 feet away and wait 30 minutes in the hope for a sleep cycle. Ugh.

Oh man. Just what the crowded service centers needed! More cars that need to be brought in to be serviced. Hopefully this can be done with mobile, but from what I understand mobile is also very backed up!

Restarting software didn’t help. Restarting vehicle didn’t help.

After reading above: Uh, oh.

The truck will shift and move, so I can at least get it out of the garage, and do my three point turn to line up with the driveway

Probably depending the state of the failure they may have to physically connect to the vehicle to push the update instead of OTA.

Oof. This one is gonna hurt. Definitely gonna be some heads rolling on a dev team. Good luck finding a FAST fix for this. Maybe time to get a dual boot firmware option.

Mine appears drivable (goes in to gear) but the center screen oscillates between black and the rivian logo. Here’s to hoping we don’t ‘require physical repair’. ?
