Great job! Have tried with several carplay screens and only option that worked consistently ( usually issues with audio quality, phonecalls not working, etc ) was a home built raspberry pi version but mounting has always been less than ideal. Love the mounting location you are showing. Just ordered one for myself and one for the wife.

@EV Sportline Does this have an Aux in line? Would be amazing to be able to use the aux out from a sirius xm unit to feed audio into this via aux in and then feed through to the Rivian audio via bluetooth.

I know the sirius app is an option but it doesn't solve the connectivity issues when off network.

Having Aux in would solve a major headache for a lot of people.

I’m referring to a third-party solution that integrates to the actual screen. Solutions currently exist for the Tesla. I use one now.

If Rivian ever adds a browser to their UI, the same units made for Tesla should work for Rivian! Big IF there, though.

@EV Sportline Have you guys been able to figure anything out in the wiring/firmware so this doesn’t boot up anytime you walk close to the truck?

One of my biggest complaints of mine is that when I walk into my garage, the truck boots up when it sees my phone nearby and then CarPlay will boot up and connect my phone. Very annoying when I am out in the garage or doing yard work nearby the truck!

Ordered as I am going to give it a try. Tired of having to mess with the phone to change audio sources. Of course, since I have done this, SiriusXM and Apple music will get added in the next update by Rivian. . .

Rivian Nation, we've been working on this one for a while! Finally launched today just in time for Black Friday!

1 - plug and play (DIY install), no cutting or splicing or permanent mods!
2 - no tape or scewing mount to dash; patent pending design locks into factory dash!
3 - does not use any USB-C or cig lighter ports! plugs directly into fuse panel above driver feet / under dash
4 - full CarPlay (wireless) connection, run Waze, Google Maps, etc - and play music through Rivian audio

Warranty denials have to prove that your modification caused the failure. This will almost certainly not void ANY warranty.

I expect this would void your warranty for any claim related to electrical . . . on an Electric Vehicle.

I did not ask for a link to a random adapter, I asked what the power draw of the unit is.

If there are two drivers (my wife and I) would it connect automatically to whomever is driving and has the phone in the car first? Or is it necessary to reconnect through the phone’s Bluetooth screen each time drivers are switched? That’s been a bit of a pain on some of the CarPlay units I’ve used in the past.

This relates to using your phone for a key to the Rivian. I feel your pain, the option of turning off your phone key works. Rivian has an opportunity to refine their phone key / key proximity firmware for sure.

We keep it below the site line of the hood/ front dash edge, for this reason. I didn't want it up blocking the view.
