Of the ~250 Rivians reporting to ElectraFi, the percent on .46 has gone up drastically the last few hours from 3% to now being almost 4x that...people are definitely getting more comfortable with running it.

The most interesting part of their data on this update is that zero vehicles on 42.2 have received the update.

I haven’t noticed any problems with bugs since I updated.

I’ve played around with multi-stop route planning and I really like planning out, and saving the trip well before I start the trip. I’m looking forward to my Bay Area to Bend, Oregon road trip this month.

I feel it is a big improvement for navigation. I don’t know if the battery is preconditioned for each charging stop. I hope so.

All you folks who are excited about multi stop - do you find the route navigation to be helpful? My Rivian always suggests the most a—backward way to anywhere. This is also true of my Tesla. So I continue to use Waze. And no, I don’t want CarPlay.

Multi stop is useless for me because the navigation of routes is so unreliable.

Multi stop is useless for me because the navigation of routes is so unreliable.

It must either be a location specific problem or different opinions about what "backward way to anywhere" is. I have never experienced my Tesla or my Rivian suggesting a bad route.

But I can easily imagine that if the mapping database had inaccurate data about a particular road in your area it would cause problems. Perhaps that bad data infected both companies datasets.

It is interesting that it seems to only be going out to 42.1 folks. I think its us 42.2 folks who had the issues that are on the end cycle probably to make sure it works correct.

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but as of this afternoon note there's one poster here on the RF board with dark screens from 46.0 update, and one on Reddit with a bricked infotainment system post 46.0.

Both are reminiscent of the dorked 42.0 and 42.1 updates.

Will see myself out.

Multi stop is useless for me because the navigation of routes is so unreliable.

Multi-stop lets you be the final arbiter of where stops are located instead of the app. That lowers the possibility of wonky directions to only between stops. If you wanted, you could add a ‘stop’ at any location to help force the route to go through that point.

You also get to store the ‘trip’ for use anytime in the future. I’m probably not explaining it well enough to give you an idea of how it feels versus relying on the app to determine the route and stops after giving it a starting and ending location. You have a lot more control over the route.
