Hi All,
I am seeing 7-10Miles discharge of R1S per day without use.

Do you see similar discharge or there are certain ways to minimize discharge when car is not in use.
thanks in advance

If you park at home and in a garage, you can set your car's setting to "off" at home. It goes to sleep and stay sleep with minimal discharge.

I found a greater loss while I was on vacation and left it plugged in. Was losing around 3-4 miles a night and was only charging for 1 hour and adding 14-16, so it was pretty high. When o don’t leave it plugged in, I lose around 1-2 max.

Oh my. What an unfortunate title...
Probably a conversation with your doctor if your discharge is more than a few inches per day.

Please elaborate. There is no vehicle off setting

Thanks for the humor, changed the title so we can stay within topic ?
This process is commonly called "vampire drain". There are some pretty extensive threads in the forum that you can review if you search for that title.

Sorry that I didn't make it clear, I'm sure most of us had already done this.

Settings>Vehicle/Access>Proximity locking>Location behavior at home>select the Off option

The old Off option could still wake up the car when my phone was near the car, but with the previous update (don't remember which one), the car does not wake up when my phone is near the car. The car wakes up when I open the door or use the app, and it goes back to sleep very shortly. I could go several days without losing a percent of the battery.

I have everything off (except that option) my fob is far from the vehicle and cameras do not catch the vehicle completely waking up. But from my Eero logs, I can see the vehicle waking every 1 to 2 hours due to network activity. I don't use PAAK, I suppose I could test this option to see if it helps with vampire drain, perhaps the car is constantly looking for the fob and staying in a more "awake" state

Gosh I wish my truck only drained this much a night. It’s been more like 5-6% a day and annoying as hell. But it’s been broken since may 2023 and parked. But charged it a lot for just sitting!!! Finally got in for service last month and they did some updates so hope this fixes this issue along with the long list of other problems.

I've experience the vampire drain as well - about 6-10 miles per day.
  • Turned off proximity locking and gear guard, but it didn't help much
  • Turned off bluetooth access for the Rivian app, and that helped a little
  • I now suspect the fob is the culprit, because the truck detects the key even 100 feet away and I know this because the tail lights blink occasionally (why‽). So now I'm going to try a faraday bag for the fob, which feels ridiculous, as I've never had any such issues on other vehicles (Polestar, Leaf).
Why they can't isolate the lock/unlock battery usage from the main battery usage seems like an engineering mistake. The truck shouldn't need to wake up unless I want to turn on the climate control or actually drive it.

I have a similar mileage drop per day as well. I am having Rivian look at it next week.
