Well, I am happy to report that I AM an idiot and it was user error! All is working - and quite well. Pretty impressed with this.
Excellent! This is great news. So to clarify that you are using exactly the components I plan to use: Your install includes 2 Apple branded mag safe charging pucks and the StowNCharge dual charging pad, and you used the EV Sportline described F48 fuse location - correct? When you say “all is working well”, have you attempted to use CarPlay while also charging two iPhones at the same time?
Perfect timing… my EV Sportline package arrived today. And thanks also for the lessons learned, additional install details and photos!

Any tips for reducing the shake on the screen when in motion? I've got a good amount of vibration in mine on anything but the smoothest roads. I'm wondering if it's my install or everyone has the same issue.
Sounds like you didn’t get the bracket all the way in and over the sheet metal lip that is under the mat.

It works. Here’s the most boring 7 second video ever of it ?:

Mine shipped today. However, if connecting it "kills" the power to the wireless charger(or any other USB port), that is probably a deal breaker for me.
It does not kill the wireless charger.

@shrink.. thanks for the great install photos!

I saved your post for my install as I will be doing exactly what you did with the power cable routing.

Just got my shipping notification, so looks like a next weekend install if all goes well?

Looking for matte screen protector to match other screens. Do you think this would fit?

I received and installed mine yesterday where I returned from 1998 to present day infotainment capabilities. So glad to be back in the present.

Thanks @EV Sportline for putting this package together. Installation and pairing was easy. Using the 12v underdash for power I was done in 10 mins. Happy to report it works flawlessly.

Also, the unit can rattle under certain conditions: on rough roads. Usually this is when everything else in the car is rattling. I wonder if a flatter/deeper/wider, stiffer under dash adapter would help here. I can move it around pretty easily with my hand.
I may have found an easy fix: I simply jammed the USB-C power cable in between the backside of the unit and the (now hidden) wood trim on the dash. It was there anyway, running between the two screens. Now it’s significantly harder to flex the unit by hand.

I have the same. I jammed the cable between the screen and the dash (see above post) and I think it helps.

@EV Sportline. I just tried to power the CarPlay screen with an USB C PD before installing it. It does not turn on. Is there a fuse on the device?

Not sure what a USB C PD is? I recommend using the power supply that comes with the device, it works.

See Jebinc’s post in this thread: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/...ay-android-auto-display-kit.22269/post-452784

I figured this out - On all of these chargers, the USB-C port is based on the "PD" higher current standard, whereas the USB 3.0 port is based on the the lower current "QC" standard. The display draws so little power that the USB-C "PD" port on the charger does not activate. Details can be found here...

I've had mine for a week or so now. The unit and bracket were delivered separately which was fine and the company did a nice job of sending an email letting me know that's how it was going to happen.

Install was easy and the screen sits securely in it's "slot". There can be a little rattling but as mentioned somewhere else, is at a time on a rough surface when there are plenty of other rattling noises going on.

Screen is very nice and does not block any view out the front.

My only issues have been with some oddities associated with bluetooth connections, For instance, I have returned to the R1T and have had the same song playing on both the Car speakers and through my phone. There has also been situations where my phone in the house has started playing music out of the blue because a door on the R1T was opened and the system started up.

All in all, it's handy way to have your 'phone' mounted on the dash with a nice, big screen while your real phone sits safely somewhere else.
