I had a "feeling" the tesla chargers would be enabled soon, so i ordered one on 3/.15... glad i made the right choice.

Hopefully they ship sooner than the Rivian/Tesla adapters!
I ordered an A2z one on the day Ford announced. 2/29, it arrives this week. My Ford one is scheduled for May, and Ford users requesting one now are getting dates in Sept/Oct.

So the demand is there I hope Rivian has an allocated stock of them as well.

Typically people that manufacture products themselves locally don't say "designed in"

I just asked them... lets see what they say.

honestly not surprising if they are manufactured in china to keep costs down... and that isn't necessarily a bad thing if they have a QC process. You just have to look out for the grey-market or counterfeit lookalikes that will inevitably end up on amazon or ebay.

yeah I just went to their non-shop page, which states they manufacture in Huizhou China. Edited my post above. I own plenty of stuff from China, several of the parts Rivian uses comes from there as well.

Scroll down on that page and you get your Olink connection. As well as "State of Charge" being mentioned as one of their "biggest customers/partners"

If you will only use it with the RIvian, it is only capable of "pulling" 48a... regardless of what the EVSE can output. thus, you can buy the 48a version safely. If you ever plan on trading for a vehicle that can pull more, like the Lightning or the Silverado, then yeah, future-proof yourself by getting the big one.
Teslatap (something about the size of the pins) recommends at least the 60A version. I purchased a refurbished 80A unit from them last summer and worth every penny as it's built like a tank.

That is expensive and no need to go to 80 amps.

I use this one and have had no issues.
I've previously bought the 80A one a few years ago, but today, given that most vehicles are going to be J3400 compliant in a few short years, it's probably not worth buying anything more than needed for future proofing.

There are a bunch out there, A2Z has one as well for a decent price but I have not used it so did not want to recommend it.
