Nope, its going to go by delivery date.
That's apparently not correct. We are very early adopters (11/28/2018), but did not get a truck until 04/26/2023. We got the email at 4:40 PM (CDT). It may be going by customer number which is in order of your deposit date.

Too many shares, bought at way more than they're at now... and Yes, I did indeed reserve the R2 as well :).
Awesome!!! Hopefully RJ will base it on factory build date or first delivery date. I would guess first delivery date and then ship it to whatever email address clicked to reserve the adapter for the vin#.

I think the email was pretty clear on the topic. I am sure the email went to everyone at the same time.

By delivery date is what I understand. See email.
Well, in either case, I think I'm in pretty good shape. One of the early truck deliveries. I happened to be home when the e-mail came in, heard the notification and immediately opened and reserved within a minute. So, regardless of which method of order preference they use, hopefully will get it pretty soon.

DO we know what Tesla is charging for charging sessions yet?

I plan to wait until August 1st to opt-in. Turnabout is fair play. It's my turn to make Rivian wait.

The emails are batched. I ordered in 2021 and received by truck in 2022. My email is also time stamped 4:40 (CDT).

Rivian sees early adopters not as who put down deposits when, but rather who took delivery and when.

From the email: "Your opt-in must be completed by August 2, 2024, to be eligible to receive your adapter at no cost.

It would seem that Rivian has learned not to leave offers open ended. Good on them.

I further speculate that since they have some vehicle inventory on hand with CCS ports, the August date allows for time to complete the sale of those vehicles and that vehicles produced post shut down will not need the adapters.

I picked up my R1S last Friday (yay!), ordered my A2Z adapter yesterday, and got the email today. We'll see which one gets here first!

Yep, me too a few mins ago. I wonder if it’s first come first served?
According to the email: "Adapters will be prioritized based on owners’ delivery dates—oldest to newest. We are working hard to build inventory to expedite the fulfillment process, however this may take additional time".

Nope, its going to go by delivery date.
I received my email opt in today this afternoon 4/4, R1T delivery 3/2023, vin: 19505. So I guess it’s going by first delivery date although my boy friend got his email this morning, 2024 R1S delivery 12/2023, vin: 29852. I gotta say I was a little jealous he received his email opt in before me ? then I calmed down. ?

Idk why people are confused.

It doesn't matter when you got the email.

They are going to ship out the adapters BY DELIVERY DATE OF YOUR VEHICLE.

The emails definitely weren’t. I took delivery Dec 2023 and by the looks of some other threads on the forum, I better stay silent lest an earlier owner find out.

I hit opt in so fast though that I hope it’s first come first served on the shipping haha
Nah, the email and the landing page for the opt-in clearly state that they’ll be prioritizing based on when you took delivery of your Rivian. Oldest owners to newest as adapters become available and they’ll be contacting to verify addresses as they prepare to ship your adapter.
