2023 Rivian R1S
I am under 2000 and no address confirmation email :(
Based on what Rivian has stated about the rollout, no R1S owners should be there yet. There's over a year's worth of R1T deliveries that should have priority. Makes me wonder if Hilbe had taken delivery of an R1T and later traded for an R1S. Lot's of possibilities and we just don't know the specifics of this situation except that it makes it appear that Rivian isn't providing adapters in the sequence they had indicated (ie, in delivery order).

Data point from Rivian Chat a few minutes ago when asking about when I can expect my NACS adaptor:

" Sure thing, so we don't have a list provided so I'd be unable to check that. But I do know that we're aiming to get all the adapters sent out to our owners by the end of this quater (June). You'll be notified once your adapter has been sent out. "

Who knows if they will be able to do so given supply chain constraints, but if that's the goal, that's good news.
Anyone know if that was a human or a bot? Doesn't seem to be based in reality as I understand it based on others' experiences in this forum. Chat tools hallucinate more readily than humans do.

R1S VIN #25xxx here, with purchase contract on R1T demo #23xxx. Nothing past the opt-in email.

It was a human. Bots don't misspell quarter.

@Riviot :
Any suggestions on locations to charge in the I-90 Ellensburg to Bellevue Corridor? That's our usual monthly route and I would love to know ahead of time where the more "reliable" chargers would be.
Taking delivery of a DM Standard + R1T in June. (we live in Yakima)
Thank you ahead of time.

Funny, I just stopped here today on the way to Cle Elum. Pulled 175kW. Pricy at $.49/kWh but no other options until I get my adapter.

Here's the PlugShare link: https://www.plugshare.com/location/11298

The perfect adapter-required spot is the Tesla Supercharger at Safeway in Cle Elum. I had to stop for groceries anyway: https://www.plugshare.com/location/553186

Why do you need to stop between Ellensburg and Bellevue? I can get from Gig Harbor to Ellensburg no problem.

Our usual route to Bellevue is 145 miles each way, so I Figured that with the Standard + Battery I would need to "top off" on the way back to Yakima. I did order the A2Z adaptor, so I guess the Tesla Supercharger in Cle Elum would work. Thanks, that helps.

Where do you spend time in Ellensburg? Why not charge up there while you hang? There are level 2s on campus to top up over time, multiple DCFC and I have a super secret 50kW DCFC I love to use. Just don't use it tomorrow, I'm calling dibs!

Yes, and that was almost 3 weeks ago. Since then nothing new.
Well, not nothing new… the Supercharger deployment, maintenance, and support teams were revenge fired. That may have some negative impacts on the roll out of NACS for all that Tinucci had spearheaded.

Also could mean a reevaluation of opening the network to Rivian and Ford is happening and could even go away.

At the very least there have been reports claiming “Germans are reconsidering/re-evaluating their NACS plans”.

One of them sharing that assertion is Kyle Connor (Out of Spec) stating “based on internal sources”.

Makes sense. And Elon and team maybe looking at the sales, realizing opening up a Tesla charging network to everybody else, kills the competitive advantage and damages the sales of new vehicles to the point they yank the plug.....litterally...

Sitting at it now, 3rd ave and Main next to the public restrooms. Shell recharge
Late to this discussion, but I also like the downtown Ellensburg DCFC. We enjoyed a nice community bookstore a while ago, not far from that charger. I hope the store is still there.

For places to eat, consider the Electrify America at the Taco Bell on Canyon Road. For places to eat, if all you need is 9-10 kW, consider the Level 2 Blink near the Safeway (Sno Falls Credit Union) in North Bend. (Make sure you have the new Blink app, not the old one.)

Enjoy your Rivian, @Kidentist!
