Preconditioning navigating to non-mapped Tesla SC.

Since most V3 SC’s don’t have the Magic Dock and Rivian navigation will not map them, how does one precondition before arrival? Going west out of ND to Seattle using a NACS adapter. Can one ‘force’ preconditioning?

If you have adapter required stations selected in the NAV those stations should show up in the map.

Selecting the charging icon in navigation, Speed, Network, and Hide buttons display. I did not select anything in Speed or Hide, selected Tesla in Network. Navigation does not pickup any SC’s across ND. Will pickup Magic Docks in MN.

unselect the adapter needed. Screen shot below of MN with and without and only Tesla selected.

Turn off adapter needed in the "Hide" section. The Tesla chargers in ND then show up.... at least in the app. I'm not in my truck right now to check there.

Are you running into your issue when just looking at chargers, or when actively planning a route?

This is untrue, I just did a 500mile road trip using nothing but Tesla superchargers that the nav added to my route. You change the trip settings

You said they were unmapped, they are not unmapped if you deselect 'adapter needed'. If you deselect 'adapter needed' and then navigate to one of those Tesla chargers with the NAV and your R1 doesn't pre-condition (and it needed to based on battery temp) then you truck is broken and call service.

Without seeing how you have the route settings setup I dont have an answer for you

It definitely maps SCs without a magic dock for me. However, at seemingly random moments, my nav will go back to hiding the "adapter required" stations and I have to turn that off again.

So, a related question, what happens if it does not pre-condition before stopping at a DCFC? Does it hurt the battery, or just use lower power?
