For all of us Gen 1 owners salivating over all of the improvements in Gen 2 and are wondering if they will pull the trigger on one, wait for Gen 3. We can do it! I can do it (I think) :CWL:

Quad motor, with front and rear lockers (they can figure it out!), low range, and 180kwh battery.

You totally skipped over the INDER electric boat!

I'm thinking take the Sea-Doo Switch, make it all electric, and BAM.

The things that they could change that would tempt me to upgrade my R1S would be:
  • More flexible 2nd and 3rd row seating with improved 3rd row access. I would really love a 2nd row bench with removable center seat and sliders that would let you push one captain's seat toward the center for super easy 3rd row access. But anything that made it possible to get into the 3rd row without climbing over the headrests when child seats are installed would be a welcome improvement.

  • Longer wheelbase. Give the R1S the same wheelbase as the R1T for improved towing and more storage behind the 3rd row.

  • Redesigned 3rd row armrests and trunk latch so that 48" wide sheet goods will fit. (alternatively make the vehicle wider, but it seems a lot easier to just rid of the protrusions.)

Gen 3 ? that would probably be 2030? (R2 ~2026, R3 ~2028, R1 Gen 3 ~2030). As a 2024 Gen 1 owner I hope to keep mine at least 10 years, unless they make it so tempting to upgrade that i cant resist. Who knows what tech might look like in 2030, so it's hard to say.

Would be cool if they dropped a Bronco like R1 and Wrangler Like R2. Removable top and doors, which they did a patent on removable roof recently
