No worries. All the different Goodyear Territory options for various OE applications are lumped under the same reviews for the Wrangler Territory. There are very few of the Rivian specific Goodyear tires in the wild and likely none of the online reviews are for this specific tire. Also, anyone can post information that may or may not be true in an online review. I am confident if there was a scientific study of these tires under a controlled environment, these Goodyear Rivian tires would perform very well.
Thank you for the reassurance. I will give them a try!

I saw lots of reviews showing these tires cut easily during mild off-road usage….agree the reviews were not overwhelmingly positive.
The off-road damage reported is probably from people airing them down to stupid low pressures, like 15 psi. Tires with high speed ratings are not designed to be run at really low pressures, it damages the reinforcements embedded in the rubber. Once that happens, they cannot be fixed. It can make them more susceptible to road hazards. Repeatedly over-flexing the tires reinforcement leads to fatigue failures of the fibers. You generally cannot see this kind of damage because these fibers are embedded in the rubber.

I ended up going with the Michelin Defender M/S2 as my dealer (Binghamton, NY) said they could not get the Goodyears. On the 50 mile drive home, the tires were VERY quiet and rode well. I have them initially set at 48 psi and am wondering what pressure others who have more experience with these tires are using?

^ Those aren't severe winter rated though correct? That's a must have for me in MN.

I guess I will continue to wait for the right size/ratings to finally come out lol. I'm surprised it has taken as long as it has to be honest.

No, they are not severe snow rated, but the tirerack reviews rate them highly for snow.

If I understand things correctly you shouldn't need to recalibrate since these 60 series tires would produce the same diameter and roll out as the 21s, no?

Weird that your screenshot shows the wheels as "for your 275/65" and then shows the tires as 275/60.

Eagerly awaiting your feedback as I have just about had all I can take of the Pirellis (AT ones, that is)

you are absolutely correct about no recalibration needed with 275/60/20 tires when you replaced 21" OEM.

Correct, as @racekarl and @LL75 mentioned, the 21" tire has the same 33" Outer Diameter as the 275/60R20 so the odometer and speedo will not need calibrated.

After chatting with Rivian service a few times, I finally have an appointment at my local service center on Aug 15th to calibrate my odometer and speedometer to the correct 33" tire OD. At this time, Rivian is not specifically able to update to the Goodyear 275/60R20, but when it hits the Gear Shop that will hopefully be an option soon after. Over The Air updates could also potentially be an option in the future. For the time being, I will have the software updated to the 22" Sport Wheel and Tire Set (Both the 21" and 22" wheel options have the same 33" OD as the Goodyear 275/60R20 tire).

You would have think that Rivian would be able to do OTA update by now. Tesla has this option for years, unless Rivian is forcing you to go to SC to do update to generate money? BTW. How is your efficiency so far with the new good year AT?

I am at 2.5 mi/kWh (minus 3% for size differences would be ~2.43). Dual performance, mostly default All-Purpose mode, mix of highway and city miles.

That is very impressive. This is better than my general grabber 275/60/20 all season tires and I can't explain it. I'm around 2.31 all purpose drive with about 7k miles on it.

Thank you! I helped design the Goodyear tire specifically for Rivian. I am very happy with the balance of efficiency and all around performance!
