What happens when the warranty is up? Are you ready to pay thousands of dollars for minor repairs? In my life I’ve been screwed over by more dealer service departments (not including sales) than I can recall. The only advantage they have over Rivian in my opinion is the convenience of being local to more of the population. But if most of them are incompetent and fail at communications and overcharge, is it really better? I think Rivian is suffering through the same thing most businesses have been suffering through over the last 10 years. Staffing and the economy and everything else…. That being said, it’s not an excuse. They have to solve this problem.
Rivian has a long way to go but I’ll roll with them vs. a dealer any day.
