Opal has 10,000 miles on her 21's. They look pretty much like new with no discernable wear.

I have 31k on mine and they’re going strong. I live in Sacramento with lots of triple digit days and have nothing like that.
And I live in sac town and mine did exactly the same thing. So much so I had to replace two of them at 12K miles.

Have you been using them off road? The photos of your truck make it look like a rally vehicle?

Avoid conserve mode and low height. You could get your alignment checked. The 21” are much quieter and smoother riding than the 20”

Thank you all for your feedback. I guess the hot weather is the culprit. I’ve never seen anything like it on any of my other vehicles.

I went on a dirt road once and did some drifts but nothing that will cause that.

I have 21s and just replace my Perelli’s with the Michelin’s. I got 18,000 miles on the Perelli‘s. OK, not great. It doesn’t get any hotter than where I live, 115 to 120 is common in the summer. I never saw any wear like you described. Looks more like you’ve been driving on rough surfaces gravel rock? Or you’ve got something really wrong with your front alignment. Might be worth having someone check the alignment camper angles before you eat another set of tires.

Phoenix SC aligned it about a month ago after shocks and dampers replacements. Never had any issues with uneven wear on the tires.

The one thing I think we can all agree on is that wear is just not right. However I don’t think it’s the Perelli tires themselves given the many successes of so many other Pirelli owners.

One other thing might be a culprit- did you ever drive thru a diesel spill of any sort? Tires exposed to diesel can become brittle, crack and basically weak.

Have had my Pirelli 21 in. Scorpions and although only 5k miles, they look pretty normal and show no early signs of anything like this.
Have a tire shop look at them. If shown to be a manufacturing issue, you may get some type of a refund or prorated credit toward replacement tires.
That really sucks. Hope you find out what caused it.

Stock 21s definitely suck, but that looks like a defect to me. Mine are on the wear bars at 15k miles but I never had any big chunks missing.

There have been reports of similar damage on this forum. Formula 1 or real world, Pirelli sucks and Michelin rocks. Continentals are not bad too.

I feel the pain.. one of my tire Pirelli 21’ tire burst when it hit a curb. I was on the city roads and was less than 40 Mph. I feel the tire is low quality.
Also, Rivian’s lane assist doesn’t give any warning for curbs!
