So unless you just can't get used to how ugly the CT is, how many people laugh at you or how goofy it drives the CT is the bestest truck ever. Do you guys even read the stuff you write? That more durable exterior that gets a voided warranty if you take it through a car wash or has permanent staining if you leave bird poop on it too long? Bigger bed that you cannot reach from the sides of the truck AT all thanks to those ugly ass triangles. Better hop in every time you need to strap any thing down, that's not at all a hassle instead of foot on the tire to do so on the Rivian. You are absolutely clueless about what you’re talking about. The only reason you should prefer the R1T is if you want a smaller truck, cannot adapt to the unusual appearance or driving characteristics of the CT, or prefer the lower price point.
The CT has a smaller turn radius, 800 V architecture, FSD, bigger interior, bigger bed, power tonneau, and a more durable exterior finish.
I have 30k+ miles on my T and 15k on my CT. I would not choose the R1T for most reasons other than maybe towing or solo camping. And even then if it’s a long drive the FSD is about 20X better than Driver+.
The R1 is now stuck in a weird place where it’s very expensive, doesn’t quite have the specs to match its competitors in terms of utility, and a bad reputation for production irregularities. Like my doors still don’t close like they should on my T but they are fine on the S. And I’ve had all of them in to service more times than I care to remember.
FSD is about to be recalled, it's currently under federal investigation for killing people. Not to mention the lack of the most basic of features like turn signal stalks, a 360 overhead camera view and a driver's dashboard display. For 100K Elmo couldn't even add the extra screen? What about the frunk that's comically tiny or the massive blind spots?
The Cybertruck doesn't even meet the most basic standards for any other car let alone be superior to one.
