My Rivian App Version is 2.16.0. Will it update from this before .47 is released?

Brian
If the updates to the vehicle require an update to the app, then yes.

Kind of over simplifying, these are the public release dates and weeks (rounded) between public releases since June.
You know, I explicitly said that the schedule was disrupted by the Gen2 launch over the summer. Quoting numbers from the disrupted period, which by definition don't fit the pattern, but ignoring the pattern and the trend of the last three years isn't any basis for a conclusion - it only demonstrates the disruption that I called out. Try looking past the trees in order to see the forest.

Including the initial Gen1/Gen2 release and a subsequent Gen2-only release in your numbers again just obscures things because this is clearly the sort of disruption I was talking about. Likewise, your rounding is a little suspect - when you round 3 days UP to the next week that changes everything. Anyone who works with data should know that the way you bin histograms can enhance or obscure the underlying trends. If you want to determine periodicity you don't makes your bins large compared to the period.

The underlying software release schedule is clear if you look at all the data. Every 4 weeks. This is how things are managed and organized internally. And as I said it's plus or minus a few days because of reality. Do you think it's just a coincidence that the releases are numbered by week with a 4 week spacing between them? That's their development cycle. Regardless of whether the previous release was a few days early or a few days late, they start on the next release every 4 weeks.

Relying on when a development release is "noticed" by ElectraFi, and using that as a preferential number with a vague offset of 7-14 days isn't giving you a better idea of when the next release is coming.

  • Enhanced acceleration in All-Purpose mode.
I would hope it's enhanced as in faster... but it could also mean "enhanced" as in more stable, and reliable, which could mean slower.. Why didnt they just say "faster acceleration" to reduce ambiguity? lol

  • Driver Assistance Enhancements:
    • Improved visualization of parked and stopped vehicles.
    • Enhanced Lane Change on Command now accelerates to locate gaps in traffic.

speeding up to find gaps! this I'm excited about.

I've been noticing that vehicle orientation has been a big issue. I love that they're already addressing it! The rate at which Gen 2 driver assistance is getting better is staggering. Quite happy about that

So.... I'm curious about this. What exactly does "most" mean? Is this an issue with DHCP protected content? Is this just netflix specifically not playing nice? (they have been known to be bullies at times) So many questions
Let me first say getting casting released is amazing. And the delays now kind of makes sense. I assume Netflix was a stumbling block they couldnt get over so just release it without Netflix.

And thats OK by me!

Netflix missed the train.

I couldn't agree more myself. I certainly will miss Netflix but honestly not a big deal. I'm glad that Rivian is finally just releasing even if that means leaving Netflix behind

@cpucrazy and I were just speculating that it may have something to do with Netflix account checks. I've encountered situations where Netflix throws a fit about trying to cast to a TV that isn't also signed into the same Netflix account.
