They could put a low speed cutoff - it is pretty irritating when just moving cars in/out of garage / down the driveway etc.

I’ll quietly celebrate this, thank you. The number of times I have to hit climate control icon thinking I didn’t hit it right while driving đź«Faster, more responsive infotainment
Looks like either the post here or RivianTracker may have a formatting issue. On RivianTrackr, this is nested so that it only applies to Alexa commands, not to the UI in general.I’ll quietly celebrate this, thank you. This is a gen 2 thingI'm pretty sure I've moved mine in and out of the garage and never heard anything.
Would not be surprised if it is already to go and they are waiting to release it until the G2 quads are out.Where the heck is launch mode for the Gen 1's?
I doubt this because Tri motors already have it.Would not be surprised if it is already to go and they are waiting to release it until the G2 quads are out.
Also why can’t you auto send signals to gates and garages as you approach them? Why do you have to press a button? I thought be able to tigglwish they would enable audio via USB in a release already....this should have been done awhile back
I would guess this is a safety consideration. Your door may already be opened, and your vehicle has no way to know the current state. Automatically closing it could be considered unsafe. As an example, there is a large tree that blocks my view of my garage door as I approach. I have no way to know if the door is open or not until I clear the tree. The truck offers me the option to send the signal before I can see the door, but I wait until it's in view. If it sent it as soon as it was available, it might inadvertently close the door instead of open it.Also why can’t you auto send signals to gates and garages as you approach them? right, but you can put how many feet you are away from the garage to auto open and close, I've seen tesla's have that option on friends cars and it works seemlesslyI would guess this is a safety consideration. Very undesirable. I drive past my house to get to the mailbox down the street. Last thing I want is the garage to open because I drove by. Is it really so difficult to hit one button on the wheel that your hand is likely already near and don't even need to move to reach it?Also why can’t you auto send signals to gates and garages as you approach them?
