Updated timeframe for Guide contact?

in reviewing the November email with delivery timeframe I noticed no mention of future Guide contact. Does anyone have an updated time frame. I have a few questions that I would really like answers from an individual that I can followup with rather than a CS group.

I would think 2-6 weeks before your expected delivery window, but I'm just guessing.

You won't get a guide contact until it's time to arrange delivery, maybe a month or two in advance. It makes more sense to direct Guide resources towards customers with specific needs and let Customer Support handle all other pre-sale questions, rather than setting an arbitrary date for contact when the sale is still several months away.

Ditto. Probably need at least a month in advance, as a lot will need to arrange financing, trade in's etc, and those of us purchasing Rivian home chargers will need to receive and install those prior to delivery. Six weeks is probably better, so guessing middle to end of January for some.

They probably need to do the R1S info release before they fully open the guide floodgates as well…

I wouldn't anticipate any contact until at least a month out from your final delivery. It's not practical or efficient for the guides to be managing sales and delivery of vehicles until they have a real delivery date.

I guess I have questions about how changes in my current reservation will affect my current delivery window . It would be nice to actually see the D## thing and various colors before I finalize my order. After the last months I don't trust the scripts CS are handed, I want to deal with a single person that I can go find, like we were promised months ago. A couple of weeks before delivery isn't gone cut it

Allegedly - Until your configuration is locked, the only change that will affect your delivery window is changing from an R1T to an R1S.

Max pack would be the one thing that I could see delaying delivery if they don't have that fully sorted, but at this point the guides don't have any of that info. They only know the same things we know until they start delivering.

This is not my understanding.
I'm confident I recall (can't remember the source) that ANY changes to your configuration or delivery location MAY impact your delivery. Changing from a Launch Edition to a non-LE, to a max pack, or to an R1S will undoubtedly change your delivery.

For what it's worth, when I've talked to Rivian folks in person (both time at the Hub in Venice) I was told it would be in that 2-4 week before delivery window depending on if you need Qmerit electrical work done to get the at-home EVSE installed.

Well yeah …. Certainly delivery location or changing to an entirely different vehicle would impact your delivery.
