Officially announced by Rivian:

We’re happy to welcome @HelloFresh / @factormeals as our first major fleet customer since we opened van sales to the public earlier this year. I'm glad Rivian is getting more traction with the RDVs. But 70 vans seems a bit underwhelming. How much more will it grow?

I’ve seen a Factor one in my neighborhood. Happy to see them getting out from the Amazon exclusive.

Great to see it. While the volume isn’t huge, it’s a major get for them and lots of businesses in this scale/scope that could see success with the vehicle and buy in.

Haha, great timing on this post. I drove by my first Rivian Factor today in Portland. Very cool. I want one. I don't need a van, but I have an irrational desire to wrap it and drive it everywhere.

I also saw 2 Factor RDV in Portland today. Before they were unwrapped plain white RDVs. Hopefully other companies will get on board!

Congrats Rivian and Factor, another piece of the puzzle that ultimately will be electrification of all light duty vehicles....the writing is on the wall!

I wonder if it’s practical to install refrigeration on these.
There's no real need since the boxes still need ice packs to handle being unrefrigerated for up to 12 hours after delivery.

I more meant in-general, not this particular application.

Glad Rivian is getting more business but man was I disappointed in Factor when I tried them out. Their meals are really unhealthy.

10000 vans to Amazon isn’t substantial?

The Amazon deal is already on the books and known they are going to fulfill 100k EDV's.

They are talking adding more clients that are substantial....obviously not as big as an Amazon order but 70 units is peanuts. How about an order for 10k EDV's from a well known last mile delivery company?!?

As an occasional Hello Fresh user, I always wonder how much trash/pollution I'm creating by using them. So much stuff to throw out. They will never show it, but a balance of the harm reduction with the EDVs versus the packaging would be good to know.
