Power Issue? Please advise

R1T Gen 2 owner - We participate in a local July 4th parade and power a speaker and two commercial bubble machines. The speaker is 1000 Watts Peak / 500 Watt RMS Power @ 4Ohm. and the bubble machines are: ( each )

• Input Voltage: 120 VAC, 60 Hz or 230 VAC, 50 Hz
• Power and Current: 88 W, 1.1 A @ 120 V, 60 Hz
  84 W, 0.4 A @ 230 V, 50 Hz

My question is this - If I have all three plugged in and the speaker at max ( or close to max ) volume - will this impact the performance of the truck, or lead to any potential power down issues along the parade route ( about one mile at typical parade speed.....)? The user manual states combined power has to stay below 1500 W or the truck will power down- not being a power junkie ( although I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Rivian) is this too close to call, or should I be more than fine to wow the crowd with the rivian and the tunes while flooding the parade route with bubbles? The performance of the truck won't be affected - you'll be able to maintain parade speed safely without any issues. You won't even notice the hit on your battery...About the only time you would is if you're not moving (i.e. camping or tailgating) and are using a bunch of appliances.

If you're worried, do a test run at home for an hour and confirm you don't trip the breaker. The other thing that might make you feel better would be to drop $32 on a Kill A Watt meter to measure your actual usage. You can plug all of them into a 3:1 adapter and plug that into the Rivian. The 1500W limit is on the inverter so using both outlets doesn't help you.

I will post a video ( providing I am comfortable driving with the gear tunnel doors open as the Rivian goes into limp mode capping speed to 10mph which should not be a problem while the parade is in motion)

I need to apologize for not reading your initial post correctly...

You say

but what it means is that the outlets will turn off - NOT that the truck will enter some sort of shutdown mode. Think of it exactly like tripping a breaker (which is basically what it is) - all you have to do is to start the outlets again and power will be restored.

And why do you need to drive with the gear tunnel doors open? Surely there's enough room in the bed of your truck for the bubble makers and speakers (and your passengers who are probably throwing candy through the mass of bubbles).

Sorry again - I didn't see your other post where you explained that you put the bubble machines in the gear tunnel. Time for another stupid question: Wouldn't the bubbles stay aloft longer if you put the bubble machines on a roof rack? Do you have cross bars? Just a thought...
