It might even be worse with the update, at a minimum or is no better. @azbill are you and Android or I Phone user? If you have your phone in dark mode, does the middle tab's map also appear super dark? For me on both the car and the phone it's definitely not contrast, because everything else is clear. It's at the map itself is just too dark. It's like they synthetically turned it to night mode instead of actually using Google's darker map.I also cannot read the map on the Rivian in dark mode, so I turned it off. Do not have the update yet, so cannot compare the new maps. Even in light mode, I find the Rivian map the hardest one to read compared to my other two vehicles (Ford and GM). I think it is a contrast/color issue, definitely not the brightness.

I am an iPhone user. On my phone I can read both Apple maps and Google maps just fine in dark mode. i had one a few years ago that said it failed but somewhat took. Required a service visit after they tried to push a few times. Some module did not actually update properly. Missed the first halloween fun because of itMy install keeps failing (R1T) every night. Error message doesn’t give any information. “Install failed” I have also forced a reset without success.
Helpdesk said they will force it last night, no success. Anyone have the same issue?
