Can a current R1T Launch Edition be changed to a R1S Launch Edition ?
I have done some searching here and else where but haven't found the answer.
Yes I understand it may delay delivery because of the R1S production delay
Simply click the "Change Model" link in your account:

Realize that but the question is will you get to retain the Launch Edition trim in the R1S. When I talked to CS this morning the answer was yes.
Yes you do. Make sure you select launch edition though. If you select Adventure or Explorer you will be moved to the back of the line.

What part of "As long as you do not opt for our Adventure or Explore packages, your Launch Edition priority is secure" did you not understand then? ?‍♂

Thanks for pointing out my ineptitude in reading comprehension. I glanced instead of read.

Why are you calling CS almost every day?
Getting a human at the other end of the line immediately without getting lost in infinite robo tree structures in these lonely COVID times is unheard of. Calling CS is the most therapeutic daily activity you can have. It is almost as good as calling L. L. Beans.

I would also recommend Allen Edmonds customer service.

The load floor behind the front seats is much flatter than I was expecting. I thought the second row appeared to have more of an angle (3 degrees, IIRC) than what I’m seeing. Maybe it will prove different in real life, but that looks like a flat and level load floor from the rear of the first row seats to the tailgate. If it is flat and level throughout then I’m really happy they were able to make that happen.
Rob, I think there is still an angle of the load floor (and seat backs) in this picture. It appears that the tracks for the trunk tie-downs are flush with the floor at the rear of the trunk, but obviously are below the load floor at the front of the track. I suspect the tracks are level, and the floor is not. It even appears that the seat-backs are more level than the trunk floor is. Likely the floor angle is more extreme as it is needed to smooth the vertical height difference between the trunk lip and the seat-backs.

If that seems right, then I'm REALLY CURIOUS if that back load floor tilts up when the rear seats are lowered (to make its edge flush with their folded backs) and then back down flat again when they are raised (to provide a completely flat trunk space behind the 3rd row). It could be two different manual drop-in positions for that sub-trunk/spare tire cover, or it could be a tilt feature as part of the seat-drop mechanics...

I think that is where the camp kitchen will go. I know Rivian hasn't released any information on the camp kitchen for the R1S, but it seems this is the logical place for it to slide in.

It would make sense if the edge of the cover moved down with the bottom edge of the 3rd row seatbacks.
time to watch the animation on the website on a loop ?

I need to see it in person. Still wondering if I’m going to need to fabricate a false floor for the pups.

I just can’t tell if any of those gaps are too big where they could catch a leg. I’m hopping it is a lot tighter than it looks like our Jeep GC is.

I messaged my friend who works there with the picture and asked him to confirm. I know that picture is quite old.

He said he doesn't know if it changed since then by he slept in one recently (camping) and he didn't remember any of it being raised. I'll see if he can snag an updated pic.

Cool! The website animation (not sure how detail-accurate that is meant to be) doesn't even show the overlap panel (trunk to 3rd row gap) that is seen in the picture/RJ twitter vid. Perhaps it's all different by now lol! Official R1S udpates have been nonexistent.
