Driving after dark comes with serious risks. According to the NSC, fatal crashes peak between 8:00 and 11:59 PM in the spring and summer months (Source: NSC).

The NHTSA reports that in the U.S., even though only about 25% of driving happens in the dark, 49% of passenger vehicle fatalities occur at night. This means the fatality rate per mile is roughly three times higher at night than during the day (Source: NHTSA).

🚗 If you can’t control the lighting or other drivers’ risky behavior, there’s another option: recording the road. Having that footage can provide strong protection, preserving evidence in case of an accident and helping ensure accountability.

To capture clear footage at night, the F17 Elite is the world’s first dash cam designed to record in ultra-color 24/7. The 4K front camera and 2.5K rear camera both support dual HDR and feature STARVIS 2 image enhancement. The cabin camera uses innovative technology to capture colors that look like daylight, even in low light conditions.

We’re now offering 40% off the F17 Elite!

Redtiger’s official website is offering up to 40% off sitewide! 👉Click here to learn more about other great value 4K 2CH dashcams.

I take issue with the statement that recording provides “ protection”.
I’m no safer by recording. Accountability isn’t protection.
Are you sure about that? Every time someone claims their vehicle suffers from sudden acceleration while their feet were on the breaks and tried to prove it by pointing a camera down there has found that the problem never happens when the camera is rolling. Clearly a camera fixes the issue. And if a camera can fix that, perhaps it can also sober up all of the drunk drivers out there. 😉

@Redtiger, your product might be great, but these ridiculous advertisements ensure that I will never find out.

If the night time footage is so great, a video showing some example footage would be 10,000 times more convincing than implying a camera will somehow reduce the odds of a crash or reduce the odds that you die in the crash (or that people just want to ensure that their death is filmed in 4k resolution).

And posting this without including example footage makes me suspect that the nighttime image quality is actually quite terrible.

Clearly a camera fixes the issue.
My issue is with the confusion between accountability and safety. Having a camera at my feet doesn’t increase my safety, but does increase accountability.

So driving at night is safer than day?

In other news, did you know that 40% of sick calls at work happen on Mondays and Fridays? Fact.

lol not because a smaller proportion of driving takes place at night. But, unfortunately for them, their headline immediately makes people think driving at night is safer.

I didn't bother reading the rest, based on the comments here. Also, that's the American way; headlines only. Ain't nobody got time for reading!

Thank you for your kind suggestion, we’ll share nighttime footage so everyone can see the real performance.:)

So.....51% of fatal accidents occur during daylight hours? I'm still not liking those odds. Defensive driving is the best strategy.
