Last night I installed the MagSafe adventure high tech stowngo after sitting on it for 2 years and giving Rivian a chance to fix it.
I should’ve installed the wireless Apple magpucks a long time ago.
Now wireless charging works like it should and it’s predictable when you set it down. No more playing games trying to get it positioned just right and then do it all over again after the next bump.
Today, I got @gerrylum expert install guidance and assistance to setup the Comma 3x.
This is another upgrade I should’ve done a long time ago.
The install was straight forward and the benefits are amazing. I can finally use ADAS on unmapped roads.
I plan to get a magnetic mount and then will reinstall the mirror cover trim plate.
The last thing I did was tap into the mirror for power for the radar detector.
Yosemite Creek primitive (vault toilet & no running water) Campground is 5miles of gentle off-roading (all-terrain setup) away from CA-140...at 7,000ft elevation, it got chilly (mid 40s). Camped this weekend - had great star view. with iKamper Mini DLX and the Mountain Hardware Yawn Patrol SE sleeping bags (15F rating, 800down fill) - had a great sleep!
Pro Tip: it is faster to level the truck if you are already in "all terrain" mode (highest suspension setting) I think than in any other suspension mode.
I feel like my truck is unassuming, but ready for anything, in spite of the exterior.
Cleaned up my truck a bit and sorted my spare compartment out for off road / camping adventures.
- 20' tow strap (used a few times now for clearing trees from trails)
- Ratchet straps
- 32pcs Milwaukee metric socket set
- Compact Torx bit set
- 100' 20amp extension cord
Bonus, I pack my recovery boards and tailgate pad in my manual tonneau bag, and store them in the gear tunnel.
