Reached out and was told my build (12/22 VIN 15XXX) is not supported
It will be, they'll start to include the harness eventually as part of it.

I have a routine service appointment on thursday so I'll go over it with the service center when I get there. Mine also is missing the necessary wiring. January 23rd 2023 build.

Did you have a previous PTC 1 or 1.5 ? If so was it a warranty replacement.
I had a v1 (installed a month after delivery) that failed back in February.

Warranty replaced to a v1.5 that jammed up on me about 6 weeks ago.

100% covered by warranty.

I am pretty sure this one will last. It’s quiet and smooth when it operates. Much better design.

Just wondering if Rivian would replace out of warranty my R1T hit 36 months in August

Sometimes I wonder if at some point Rivian would've done the right thing on their own and told folks with the wrong wiring harness that they can get the tonneau. Does it really take us pushing them with proof and viable options to make it happen?

So, my interaction with the service center today was that yes it can be done, they also had a pile of V2 tonneau's in boxes on a pallet ready to go, but....

The tonneau's are sent to the service center by Rivian service (corporate) so the only way they can get them, is if a customer has been able to obtain one via the gear shop, unless it's a warranty swap ex V1-V2 or it was part of your configuration to be installed later. It's the only way them in, and what they get in, is already spoken for.

The other issue is the harness, as mine doesn't have the right one, I asked if they could just charge me for the harness and the install, but just remove the overlapping work to remove panels etc, as that would be part of the tonneau install. They said, the harness is the other part of the problem with the tonneau retrofit. Because corporate hasn't given them a path to that install, they can't just order the upgrade. It's also seemingly a shortage on the harness itself.

So just like before, the retrofit is coming to the rest of us, at least we're at the point where it's available, they just need to get the harness as part of the package to get it out to everyone. They did touch on it being more demand than they expected from non PTC owners, so hopefully by years end we see something.

Have repair order to Cleveland SC for v1 to v2 replacement. Today pushed appointment to early December. Waiting for parts. While waiting I started getting moisture in front camera. Now another repair order.

Thanks for asking these questions today. I was eagerly awaiting your feedback. Hopefully corporate can see that many of us without the harness want the PTC V2 and they can make it available to us.

This is good info: thank you! I'm dying to get mine, even though mine is "not compatible" and this is a very expensive upgrade for what it is. This gives me hope!
