First ever DIY pre-cut Color PPF Wrap for R1T - 12hrs install time

Hey folks

Huge thanks to @SwampNut for lending me his R1T for 3 weeks so I can design the wrap for it. He drove all the way from Arizona to Northern California for this, so it was rather the adventure, not to mention how stunned I am that someone just gave his $100k truck to a stranger for 3 weeks on "It's gonna be ok, trust me!". The Rivian community once again proves it's one of a kind Thank you, Carlos!

Thankfully the R1S and R1T share a lot of similarities (the front is essentially identical) so I didn't have to design every single panel from scratch. The end result is fantastic, so I am finally happy to announce that as of today you can get your R1T wrapped either in Color PPF or Glossy/Stealth PPF with our pre-cut kit. It took me about 12 hours to install (spread over 2 days with multiple breaks as it was scorching hot again), but for someone less experienced it can take a little longer of course.

Here is the gist of it

• We use 8mil premium TPU PPF - self healing, non-fading, chemically resistant, wet install.
• This is made with a proprietary pattern that I developed from scratch
• Folds around the edges, so you get shop level results.
• Available in over 300 colors, or if you prefer just glossy/matte/satin PPF we have that too.
• Requires ZERO disassembly except removing the badges and then reinstalling them.
• We can send you free replacements as long as they fit in the leftover material (should be enough for any 2 panels and in some cases 3 or more...) you just cover the cost of shipping on replacements.
• We're also partnering with several shops that can do the install for you, if DIY is not your thing. If you enable the "Pro Install" option on our website you will see them. More shops coming soon.
• Compatible with Gen1 and Gen2 R1T
• Please notice that for Color PPF there's about 10-12 days wait time to receive the roll of PPF as we don't stock most colors. Once we receive it, we will cut & ship to you within a day.
• I am available to help remotely with any questions or issues you may have before, during or after the install.

Wow. Amazing job. If I thought i could do a good enough job myself I would order it. But i did some PPF panels and had a few air bubbles. Who knows what I would have with a whole wrap!!!

Not trying to convince you otherwise, but if you check my install video you will see I also got quite a few bubbles. It's normal part of PPF installs, as hard as you work, something will be left over. They are super easy to remove with a diabetic needle - I do it throughout the video. And since this is self healing PPF, the mark from the needle disappears in a day. So bubbles are a very easy thing to handle actually.

I've had that blue for several months now and still turn around to look at my R1S...it's very good!!!

All of them! Seriously if you can see the truck the colors are changing. This is because the Rivian is so curvy that you always have many angles presented. This is something we struggled with when using the swatch book. The flat swatch indoors is a dark-ish red. You will never see that color again outdoors on the truck.
