Like correcting speaker polarity
There's another thread on here where someone manually switched the positive/negative hookups on the sub (maybe other speakers too?) and it sounded much better. If this is true, then his system should not sound as good anymore...no?

Still no joy here for my Gen 1 with Connect +. I checked my app while sitting in my office and it was saying the truck had limited connectivity so I couldn't really do anything from the phone. Went out to the truck and it has 4 bars of LTE. Rebooted the phone - no help. Did the scroll wheel reboot and eventually it connected. But still no update.
Yup. Connect+ on WiFi here. Why do I pay for early update access?!

You're not paying to be first, you're paying to be earlier.

Lately Rivian has been doing 3 waves of Connect+ followed by a weekend, followed by two days of Connect-.

UPDATE: Played around with it some more and with wrist detection enabled I only have to enter my passcode once when putting on my watch. I can live with that and will be happily using the Digital Key on my watch.

It took me a while to get Digital Key set up on my phone and then to figure out how to set it up on my wife's phone. It's anything but clear. The "owner" has to share the digital key with authorized driver's. You must first revoke their phone key and then share the digital key with them.

Now can somebody explain to me like I'm a five year old why a passcode is require on the Apple Watch to use the Digital Key? I understand why a passcode is required for Apple Pay on the watch but they should not require it for the Digital Key. You cannot enable Digital Key on an Apple Watch without enabling Apple Pay.

So if somebody steels my phone they can steel my Rivian. Why should the watch any different?

I was looking forward to Digital Key on the watch because I always have my watch on. I don't always have my phone with me.

Rant over!

If they fixed the polarity, yes. I can't confirm. I can confirm that before this update the rear speakers (including the sub) were out of phase with the front speakers. At low volumes it isn't that big a deal but at high volumes it washes the bass out. And that is the root of many of the audio system complaints.

Thank you for saying this.

Rollouts happen in the afternoons, on weekdays. In my experience I see this;

If you are connect+, assume 1-4 business days.
If you aren't, assume 3-10 business days.

There is no way to force the update, short of calling support and being a Karen.
I’m in SoCal, I don’t think I’ve ever been prompted for an update before 4PM.

Same issue as “everyone else” with carkey. Got email. Started setup. Failed. It prompted me to delete phone keys. Done that. App says I’m not in my car even though I am.
Restarting R1s and iPhone. Manually deleted phone key from Rivian app again.
CarKey wallet pop up showed up. But stuck in connecting.
restarted iPhone. Connected this time. But pairing failed. Twice.
restarted Rivian app
Third time is the charm it works!

Does the UHF engage even with hands on the steering wheel? And does it still require eyes on road monitoring even with hands on wheel? If so, that’s a feature loss for us :(
so after some testing. Unfortunately seems they removed the “loophole” there is no more “hands-on, eyes-off (Unmonitored)”
True to the name UHF. What only exists is the hands-off, eyes-on (monitored). Regardless of if you have hands on the steering wheel during UHF.

Rivian has never had "eyes off". If you've been using it that way, you deserve to get ticketed.

I don’t have to use a pass code for digital key on my watch. But then again, I don’t have passcode turned on for apple pay transactions. If you have have the pin turned on, then that is covering any access in wallet. That’s an apple thing.

Do you mind double checking the setting on your watch? My wife and I were both forced to turn on Apple Pay to enable the digital key on our watches. Turning on Apple Pay in turn required setting a passcode on our watches. With the wrist detection option enabled we only have to input the password once when putting on the watch. We can live with that but would rather be able to use the digital key without Apple Pay enabled.

that's the way it works. I thought you were needing to enable your pin each time, sorry I misread your post. Only time I have to enter my pin is when taking the watch on or off. Helps secure the device also in case you loose it or its stolen. Just a good practice to have a pin.

Used UHF for a couple hours this evening, found the first bug. If you have something connected to the trailer lights and have rear accessory mode ticked, in the driver's display you don't get the little steering wheel hands free available icon. UHF does however work, just a UI glitch with the icon.

UHF itself did ok most of the time on an hour of dark two lane rural highway here in WI. Only major annoyance is it gets confused if there is a short "get around" lane on the right at a T intersection; it wants to stick to the right line instead of just going straight. It also wanders a bit when encountering turn lanes on the left or right, and if there's both at the same time, you're pretty much grabbing the wheel to stay going straight.

Are you saying we will be able to use hands free while towing now? If so, that's great news.
