Looks perfect. I ordered during thanksgiving and still waiting for comma4 shipment.
I have a radar detector tapped into the mirror harness. How are you powering comma?
I like how close it’s to the mirror plastic and it’s nicely tucked in and not in the center of the glass.
Can you also share links to the mount?
In addition to the fusetap that godfodder mentioned, you should also remove the AXM power connection on the Comma harness. If you haven't looked at the Installation Tips document, I recommend that you read it before attempting installation.

Using the fuse tap as described in the Google doc and earlier in the thread.

This is a stock mount. Although Gerry mentioned that an 8 degree mount might still be better, as it was for the C3. I will print one of those soon and try it.

I have been using the Comma 3 on my launch edition R1T for some time and really enjoyed it. for the last many weeks, I have noticed it constantly stays to the right side of the lane. I have confirmed install location, recalibrated, reset the entire unit and reloaded sunnypilot. It still persists. I have avoided using it which is unfortunat because I preciously used it on every drive. Anyone have suggestions??

How exactly did you measure install location? Center of the mirror box, or center of the entire windshield? They are not the same. I had this when I ran it in the center of the mirror box.

Mine hugs the inside of some curves particularly to the right. That's a different problem; it's fair well centered in straights. Also there is a setting somewhere to bias the position, but don't recall how to get there.

There is a lateral camera offset adjustment that is available to many of the new models in the dev branch of Sunnypilot just for the one side or the other issue.

I measured to center of the windshield. I have been using it for over a year and never had an issue until about 6 weeks ago. I thought it was a glitch when the updates switched to Firehose. I also noticed the 3 driving personalties are greyed out and the right knob has gone back to distance adjustment rather than driving personalities. Maybe I am on the wrong model? Something changes as I used it for so long and it was perfect, but I have not changed anything. It happed after an update. It puts me so close to the right side, that I often end up on the white line.

Very model specific. I had the same issue and left Firehose for that specific reason.

It sounds like you don't have Openpilot Longitudinal active anymore. Make sure you still have it toggled on in the Developer menu.

I had no idea this existed! What model are you running? I may have my settings off? Is this in the “settings”? I just looked around and did not see it

thanks sir! May I ask what model you are using now? I suspect it is time to switch so I can get back to daily use habits

You are correct! I just toggled on Longitudinal (alpha). I will report back! Thanks so much! What model are you using? are you still on Firehose?

I have the comma 4 and a such, we have to run the DEV build of sunnypilot, so we have access to the newer models. I'm currently running WMIv10. Before though I was running GWMv6 for a long time. It was pretty solid for my R1T on the 3X

Awaiting R1T
I noticed Logitudinal became disabled again on my 3x. I’ve been meaning to follow up here on this newer warning I saw a couple weeks ago…Bold mine
WARNING: sunnypilot longitudinal control is in alpha for this car and will disable Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB).

On this car, sunnypilot defaults to the car's built-in ACC instead of sunnypilot's longitudinal control. Enable this to switch to sunnypilot longitudinal control. Enabling Experimental mode is recommended when enabling sunnypilot longitudinal control alpha.

Enable

@gerrylum I recall you having said you didn’t have Experimental Mode enabled. Do you have it enabled or disabled?

Also, never seen the AEB notice before. Thoughts?
