- 2025 Rivian R1T - Large. Delivered on November 23, 2024.
- Occupation
- Retired
I'd like to see 100,000 miles (or more!) on my R1T. A little over a 10th of that right now after 1 year.
But, much like my experiences with Ford, GM, Stellantis (Chrysler) and Honda products; I feel like I am still in the "honeymoon" stage with a "Brand-E-New!" vehicle that has not offered up any cause for concern. Let's circle back in 3-5 years and see if anything begins to manifest by then. Nits, routine service and road wear - welcome! Major component failure after moderate mileage? We'll talk.
I hope that the Rivian remains solid - don't mind the routine service and road-wear fixes. The upside at this stage of the game and time in my life is we finally have large enough of a garage to keep the vehicles out of the elements; first time in ages. And I get the truck washed as the weather permits. Totally loving the R1T; no qualms with it. I scan this forum for things to keep an eye out for.
Unlike vehicles of past; >my< R1T is continually getting improved on while I own it! It's not like "crap, you mean I gotta buy the next model year if I want some new feature?". Through these forums, I see that 1st Gen / Launch Edition owners are still benefiting from much of this improvement process, too. That gives me high hopes that, yes, 10-15 years down the line, my 2025 R1T will still be a viable and functional vehicle.
