go drive it, then tell me how 90% of those charging stations don't work.
Glad you took the time to try to call me a liar, nitwit.

I thought the same thing. I get the real world drop depending on your tires and how fast you drive. I put 65,000 miles on my first gen 1 quad T and never had the software say less than 311 miles even though I drive in Illinois winters. I would check my battery capacity. Drive it to near zero and then level 2 charge to 100 and see how many electrons went in.
I will say both my Tri Motors are15 percent more efficient than my QM in conserve though. I had QM 20s which were terribly inefficient on Pirellis.
So for the "base" are we expecting a watered down dual motor, or some sort of single motor option?March 12, all of the juicy details will be available. Soon!!!

It's single motor. Something they have mentioned since the reveal in 2024.So for the "base" are we expecting a watered down dual motor, or some sort of single motor option?
All the early reviews seem to indicate the LE dual is going to be an upcharge from the base (which isn't unexpected, given the need to prioritize margin)

Thanks for confirming. That's what I had in my head, but couldn't remember what had been announced / rumored / confirmed etc. It's single motor. Something they have mentioned since the reveal in 2024.
I think it's pretty safe to assume low to high pricing spread similar to Model Y, with Launch Edition landing in the middle. My own speculation is they are withholding tri until gen 3 and LiDAR.hmmm...the reviews seem promising and I can't wait to see the pricing.
I have an R1S and a 2022 Model Y and I could totally see replacing the Model Y with the R2.
I drive this route routinely (Houston to Springdale with a Ran Stop on North Dallas). The choctaw crossing used to be super difficult on a smaller range car. I very nearly got stranded in my 2018 RWD Model 3. The Quad Rivian had some nerve-wracking moments a few years ago, and the 350 Gen 1.5 R1T gives a lot of peace of mind. That said, the new Tesla station in Henryetta make a big difference on cold days.go drive it, then tell me how 90% of those charging stations don't work.

I was thinking the same thing. The off-roading capabilities are what sets it apart. They should do comparison videos of the R2 vs. vehicles in the same segment. Of course all of the YouTubers will take care of that.Seems like a compelling product assuming they can keep it in the $45k-65k range considering this still has decent off roading capabilities unlike everything else in this space.
I think you're confusing your terminology a bit. An NMC battery IS lithium ion. "Lithium Ion" is an umbrella term that covers many different battery chemistries, of which NMC is one. Perhaps you are thinking of LFP, which is the other chemistry that Rivian uses.
I'm hoping $57,500 as spec'd to compete with Model Y AWD Perf.According to Doug Demuro the configurator comes out in March and the vehicle goes on sale in late Spring.
Still no word on the price of the launch model. Something tells me it will be high. I’m sticking with $55K-$60K.
