R2 Frunk height for manual closing?

What’s the height of the frunk cover when opened? I’m wondering if they include a rope or something so shorter people can pull down the cover to close given the car is still taller than MY in the front.

It honestly doesn't look like it opens that high in videos I've seen. I guess it depends how tall you are

My wife is 5’ and she has to lower the tailgate height setting on her MY in order to press the button

Oh yeah, the MY trunk opens at a crazy pitch though, I had to adjust mine just so it wouldn’t hit my garage when we had ours. I can’t imagine this will be as high and kneel setting should be automatic at park like it can be for R1.

There is not going to be a kneel mode in the R2. The suspension is not height adjustable.

Oh yeah, the MY trunk opens at a crazy pitch though, I had to adjust mine just so it wouldn’t hit my garage when we had ours. I can’t imagine this will be as high and kneel setting should be automatic at park like it can be for R1.

I thought they would include a string to pull it down. Otherwise, they should have the setting to make adjustment. However, I’m not sure if that’s going to happen given we still don’t have that option for R1 tailgate. I still have to press the button to stop tailgate from hitting the top at my workplace garage.

Otherwise, they should have the setting to make adjustment.

I am 99.9% confident that isn't going to happen.

R2 frunk isn't going to have electronic struts. It just has a spring popping it open. That is also why it won't auto close.

Springs are one way and don't respond to settings.

It was shown to have this, where at least I could have put a strap myself.

I don’t think I see that in the production. Lol the only reason I noticed is because I thought this could be a problem for my wife and I wanted her to switch from MY to R2.

Maybe a cost cut and it works for 95% of normal sized people. I am sure some after market change could be made if it doesn’t make it to production.
