From rivianroamer, looks like the fix is rolling out.

“2026.07.0 (596d0760) → 2026.07.0 (d458c0b7)“
I’m already downloading this, that was fast.

Also just got this one. Installing now. It was a little weird they kept the version number the same and just has a different SHA in the API. Usually this would've been a 2026.07.01 release or similar.

I think they've done this a few times in the pseudo-recent past. It's always thrown me too.

I, also, just received the notification about the 2026.07.0 update that I already received and updated last week, when it first came out. Now, I’m wondering if I should give it a second download/install or leave well enough alone and stick with what I have. This is kinda weird. I think I’ll wait for some clarification on how these two version differ and what issues or not pop up with this latest iteration.

They differ, see the comment above in this thread.

I understand they differ. I‘ve just lost a little confidence in the last two updates. With the recent Unreal Engine implementation, their UI seems to have gotten worse. Now, we’re seeing a rash of other issues popping up. Just sayin’.

If the tires are out of balance, yeah that's a different issue, but I think there is something else going on for me. I'm extraordinarily sensitive to things like tire balance, and I can tell my tires are perfectly balanced -- most of the time, and at most speeds, there's nothing suggesting my tires are imbalanced. This steering wheel shaking only shows up "sometimes" (just like my suspension harshness/rattliness only happens "sometimes") and only around 75 mph. So that's why this particular line in the software update caught my eye.
Interesting. Anything over 75mph for me is horrible - maybe I'm ultra sensitive to it as well, but the wheel just shakes so bad. My wife said she can't feel it from the passenger side, but it's literally shaking my whole wheel. Sometimes it's at lower speeds and there were some roads where I could be sitting at 80mph for a while with nothing, then would come back and go away repetitively. I'm guessing that slight differences in rotation cause the out of balance spots to perfectly cancel themselves out to make it feel super smooth. Gonna see what happens with the road force balance and match mounting at some point

I think the newest release restored my saved altimeter readings.

For the last few releases they've been issuing the same minor version with a different git hash for bug patches. Not sure why.

It’s a bit weird.

I get that these are marketing releases, and they are not following semverv2 (or even semver like) - but come on guys - this is what a point release is for. Being told I can upgrade from one version to the same version string, with a different short git commit sha like string in parentheses says that this attempt at simplifying comms is not working. it either needs to be up leveled further, or down leveled to something more understandable.
