SeaGeo,Anyone else loom at what this location is? It was up for lease when Google drove street view by it in 2021, but it's kind of a random little buiding and parking lot that previously had a chiropractor in it. I wonder if they're going to take over the building as well.
Yeah, I totally agree. The existing permit is just the RAN station. There's nothing unusual about the permit itself. Taking over the building is literally just speculation on my part because it seemed like such an odd parking lot to stick a RAN station in, and the building is/was up for lease. It could also just be that they got a good deal on the parking lot space because the landlord needs some revenue since the building is empty.SeaGeo,
From the posting, it also mentions:

With no current mention of the building *yet*, I'm guessing it's an RAN station only. It seems similar to other listings from other locations, but building renovations could populate here in the future.
I know you saw all of this within the listing, but wondering if others might recognize it as similar to listings elsewhere, relating to something that may have evolved into more than just one of the RAN stations.
Likewise. It's a great location from a proximity standpoint with the I-5 and I-205 merge, but the building doesn't resemble anything like the other properties we've seen Rivian develop.Yeah, I totally agree. They've said that they aren't buildings new buildings for their spaces. If they take over the building I'd expect to see a separate permit for tenant improvements.
I'm not a trailer-towing guy usually, but that is a great plan by Rivian!
I believe they are supporting trailers wherever real estate permits. The Salida, CO location has (will have) a pull through spot for charging.I'm not a trailer-towing guy usually, but that is a great plan by Rivian!
This is a good spot for a charger. Just a block from the freeway. I’ll definitely use itClackamas, OR

Yep, there's an old thread or 2 around here with much discussion of this location, including a few posts from the Mayor of Salida. The Rivian RAN station info starts on page 67 of this document from the Jan 2021 Salida, CO city council meeting. There are diagrams as well.
