Parked at the outdoor short term parking lot at O’Hare…we are about to get a dump of snow and they left the truck over half-open. Does anyone know if that can be closed remotely?

Little weight from the snow on that hood, and that gap will line right up!

Factory may only be able to paint so many colors at a time. Employees getting trucks at a big discount probably don't care that much. I doubt its paint holding up non-employee deliveries.

i didnt say it was holding up deliveries. just pointing out that they probably are painting the vehicles in order of most popular to least. and to your point about the factory being able to paint so many colors at a time. RJ stated that did not limit their ability to produce vehicles. he said they could literally switch colors anytime for each car that came into the paint shop. not sure if he was exaggerating or not but definitely doesn't appear to be what they are doing.

agreed but based on the length vs height, not much they could do unless they changed the dimensions or had come up with some clever way to clean more glass

not any more, if it is parked in the O'Hare parking lot with the cover partially open.

This has been one of my favorite threads over the past 15 months. Thanks to @MisterTea the OP, @kanundrum and tons of others for posting.
That being said seeing pictures of the R1's was super exciting a year ago, watching every single youtube review for the past 6 months helped prolong the excitement. Maybe if Rivian puts on a bunch more first mile events in the midwest, south and east coast they can extend the excitement a bit further but very s00n they will need to start filling the queue of preorder holders in a meaningful way.
Apologies for the Debbie Downer post, If I ever have the opportunity to see a Rivian first hand I will get some pics and post them here. No such luck yet.
