I am very pleased with the Enphase charger as it integrates with my Enphase solar setup. I'm even considering the bi-directional charger for my R1S later this year or next.

For me, the point is not solar charging, but bidirectional charging. Enphase is one of the few players in this space getting their chargers ready for making our cars the batteries that power, our homes.
same here. And, as a happily Enphase solar with Enphase battery & management customer, their new bidirectional EVSE is on my radar as well.

when I looked into Tesla’s bidirectional EVSE, it only worked with Teslas. Has that changed?

I am looking into the R2, and the other EV crossovers/SUVs coming out this year. I already have confirmed that the Volvo ex60 bidirectional charging function is compatible with the new Enphase EVSE.

We have a Lectron NEMA 14-50 Level 2 EV Charger that we have used for 5 years and our 14-50 is on the outside of our house. The charger has been outside for the whole 5 years.....rain, a little snow, freezing, 110 degree summers, bird crap on it and it has NOT given us 1 issue. We use it on the R1T as well as the RAV4 Prime.

Yeah, Rivian did something different with their bidirectional implementation. They say AC instead of DC. We’ll have to see if that’s true. Someone in the San Diego area needs to test their R2 at @True_Dad’s house for the rest of us.

There’s a guy on YouTube (@True_Dad) that has his DC Bidirectional charger mostly working with his Rivian-

You describe it well - "mostly working". We appear to be getting closer to a system that can be programmed to set balance priorities while incorporating schedules for multiple devices. Using the EV(s) as system batteries (or not) in this scenario is key for me.

I have a Rivian EVSE and a Tesla EVSE each on its own 60A breaker. I have Enphase micro inverters & panels, and 20kWh of Enphase of batteries.

Due to construction and reorganization I need to move to a single 60A breaker to charge both vehicles, because my panel is maxed out.

I’d also like to take advantage of Enphase slow solar charging. So I’ll probably buy TWO damn expensive Enphase V2s. Hoping I find one or more on eBay before paying full retail.
if I bail out on solar charging, I’ll do two Tesla Universals instead.
You should consider taking a couple of 15 or 20a breakers and swapping in a 15-50-15 quad Plex breaker or 20-50-20
You could also do twins somewhere else to make space. Just make sure whoever does it watches for shared neutral issues.

Thanks @HaveBlue I’ll look into it. It’s a 200 AMP panel and got a lot going on.
