Screw in Scorpion MS - repairable?

Got a flat in my brand new Scorpion MS tire.

Immediately found the cause, this screw.

Look reparable? Usually I’d say yes, but I haven’t owned such a large and heavy EV before.

I’m hoping a normal $20 repair is good and safe and I don’t need a replacement, but figured I’d check with the crew here for a second opinion.

Yep. Go buy a plug kit and patch it up.
Or take it to a shop and they will do it. Generally, they won’t touch it is the offending spike is in the outside tread block or sidewall.

I live on a farm and have used the tire plugs that are a t-hande tool with a strip of black fiberous goo a few times with no issues.

I’ve got a plug kit sitting here but I’ll swing by the tire shop tomorrow and just have em lift up and spin the other tires around too and look for more screws.

About to head out on a road trip and more flats is the last thing I need.

Had a screw in same location while on a trip. Tire Widget patched for me and been driving on it for 2-3k miles no issues. Will leave it in there until I need to replace the tires on mileage.

DANG! That’s impressive! I thought the 6mm Allen key that took out one of my Honda Pilot tires was bad. With the rail road spike I’d be more concerned about rim damage.
