I had the same concern and payment is due before you can take delivery, so I just coordinated with my local service center to see the vehicle a few days before my scheduled delivery so I could make sure everything looked good and there were no obvious defects. If anything surfaced on delivery...
My delivery is scheduled for a week from tomorrow - on Saturday Nov. 25th. Can’t wait and I hope to be able to give something back to this forum once I get it and start putting some miles on it.
RJ and senior management have said on multiple conference calls that the R1 line will be shut down in 2Q24 to make changes in production that will simplify the process and reduce costs. They also plan to introduce different trim models (including lower cost LFP batteries) but it’s not clear...
