  1. Best hitch tray 4-bike rack that doesn't completely block rear camera when folded up?

(assuming we're talking folded up) I use the 1UP (2 bikes) as well on a R1S. Great rack. In the straight out position, the camera is OK-ish (I can see enough around it but there's some obstruction). I also have a 4" drop and with that, the camera view is better but the license plate and...
  2. What did you do TO / WITH your Rivian today? 🧰

Hit the lifetime high on the altimeter so far (a whopping 2900')
  3. Pennsylvania FS R1T Bike Tailgate Pad

SOLD - sorry about not updating that
  4. Paint Defect, Rust, What Is Going On!?

Yep, same spot, same color. They did a good job fixing mine. Best of luck!
  5. iPhone 17 pro Proximity unlock with gen2 r1s

Same, I upgraded to iOS 26 on my 15pro and was having issues there. That carried over to the 17pro but I don't think it's the phone. I had a Gen 1 R1T with the 15pro, proximity worked very well. I got my Gen 2 in June, and proximity was still working well. It was the previous Rivian update (I...
  6. New EV - R1T owner looking for charging advise

Welcome! It can be a lot at first but after 6 months you won't even think about it anymore. For me, Plugshare as the overall app to explore charging options and trusting the in car nav on road trips works really well. (always set a destination in the nav and it will tell you when & where to...
  7. R2 water fording crossing test (video)

You could almost surf those swells!
  8. Rivian Update 2025.34 Now Downloading! - Upgrades / Fixes to Expect

You have to sign up for TOU w PECO separately. The Rivian app doesn't enroll you, it just suggests changing your charging schedule to support it. For me, the suggestions for this came up in the phone app, not on the car.
  9. Gen2 R1S Sound quality

I tried this on my non-premium Gen 2 - I think it works there as well. Sounds pretty good for an otherwise meh system. Thanks!
  10. Auto car wash with wraps?

Yeah, I have no interest in hand washing salt off during cold northeast winters.
  11. Leaking dampers?

"leaky dampeners" seems to be a common replacement. Is it common for air suspension vehicles or just Rivian? (or is it really not a big deal and they replace them for customer satisfaction?)
  12. 20" Inch Goodyear Territory AT 275/60/20 Factory AT tires + saving $

tl;dr - if you're talking daily driver and one tire for most scenarios, the Goodyears are great! -------- @DayTripping - I had the benefit of driving 3 different sets ups back to back and mirror a lot of what you say. First up was my Gen 2's 22's going in to service. These are smooth, quiet...
  13. Tesla's Dangerous Doors (electronic door latches) - Can Rivian please not follow this trend?

ah. I stand corrected again. Didnt realize it was just a finger touch. I always used proximity and it worked reliably well on my Gen 1 (activated from a good distance away). On this Gen 2, it sometimes doesn't happen until I'm right at the door. Back OT, I agree with most here, the electronic...
  14. Tesla's Dangerous Doors (electronic door latches) - Can Rivian please not follow this trend?

Not boring at all. Until recently, I didnt realize I could just tap my phone near the door handle and it would open. Similar to my past cars where you just touch the handle with the fob in pocket. For other methods I use; - PAAK w proximity - hit or miss. Seems like it used to be better but has...
  15. Any one racked up miles on the OEM Goodyear

@2kwik4u - I saw that as well. Just for point of reference, my service center had them with no wait. $1100 there.
