As is the case with other OEMS as well - it is a confusing landscape for sure and best to do some reading up on.
Yes and probably yes.
It sounds like some of this is new to you and unfortunately, I think you caught the industry at a weird time where something not super clear to new people...
Thanks for posting this! I've had the Explorer ST on my short list a few times - it looks decent and a good package but always wonder what daily driving is like.
OP - good luck with the Chevy. At least it's another EV. We don't need more OEMs cancellations.
I got the Goodyears mounted on my Gen 2 R1S OEM AT rims at a Service Center. Tires were bought at the SC and appt set up in the app. They gave me zero hassle -- it can be done.
Great tire btw!
Welcome!
1. Only minor stuff; some infotainment glitches, losing settings, driver assistance items erroring out occasionally - all fixed with a quick soft reset. I know a lot of folks compare to Tesla and gripe but IMO, the SW and features are very good, especially when compared to legacy...
Maybe they meant Gen 3 is end of '26 but Gen 2 R2 will come sooner? (which we already knew).
Not sure what the rules for self driving in Europe are but a Gen 2 R2 that can be exported would still make sense.
What's your top 3?
How long are we talking unoccupied?
Is this your first EV or car with touchscreen controls vs manual switches?
Post seems a bit disingenuous. Personally, I’ve never had a reason for a car to sit unoccupied for an extended amount of time with lights on. Even in an ICE that was...
I'm glad I didnt get this one in the upgrade. It would be even more embarrassing for all those relatives to see your Rivian unable to charge.
I used to like being first but this latest round of Apple Liquid Glass Trash everywhere cured me of it.
... and then he'll be on here moaning about how it's his "3rd Rivian and the software is trash, how could they?!!" etc etc
OP, I get the fomo but unless you were having the cold weather L2 charging issue on .38, wait it out and enjoy the vacation. The UHF isn't that big of a deal - you already...
I had to resort to a full delete and reinstall of the app on my phone. Went through the whole setup process as if new, and it was smooth. The orphaned keys in the drivers / access section from the first go around (they had a ! icon on them) also cleared up.
I don't know why you would even attempt this knowing you have an incompatible phone.
TBF, it wasn't smooth on a fancy, latest version iPhone either. I followed the prompts and it got to 99% but never completed out of the activation process. Waited 15 min, then backed out as far as I could and...
Sorry to hear it OP but maybe add "(for me)"? It doesn't kill ALL cars as the headline implies.
Gen 2 R1S, Large, and a L2 Tesla Universal charger at home. Worked fine in the cold, works fine after the .46 update. 60A circuit, car set to 48A.
I'm lucky and thankful I suppose. Hope you get...
Might sound basic but did you check your sensors / bumpers & windshield? - if there's been a ton of salt, could it be that simple?
I used to get driver aid errors on my ICE cars every winter as well just because of residue build up.
I got the impression Autonomy + was G3, eye's off. Everyone on G2 was getting the expanded roads, hands off capabilities for free. I could be wrong and will wait for what's officially posted by Rivian.
All the AI terminology is going over their heads! /jk
TBF, they did a good job on the explanations simplifying things. It was more Apple style than car company.
