Hopefully the nav updates work well, tired of the car wanting to take us around in circles.
This is also welcome: āFixed an intermittent issue in which the overhead lights didnāt turn on if you opened a door while the vehicle was asleepā.
Update: Service Center told me they believe the memory module for the steering wheel was faulty and replaced it. Iāll report back after some time to see if it continues to drift or if it is indeed fixed.
Might just be worth mentioning it in your next service ticket though.
I donāt understand why this is a debate? A company or representative of a company, speaking on behalf of said company, has made a claim assuring a feature will come in the future. They should absolutely be held to it - otherwise everyone ends up making promises out of nothing just to sell a...
Yep - on my frequent trips from Austin to Dallas in the Tesla Y Performance I stopped in Waco to charge, every time, without question.
In the Taycan (4S CT as well), I rip it all the way to Dallas and charge when I get there. Not only because Porsche knows how to properly estimate their range...
I love my 4S CT and donāt want to upgrade, but more range is about the only thing missing from this car. And itās not bad, but if I was buying it now I wouldnāt say no to more.
About once a month we have to use the calibration tool for the seat and steering wheel memory positions. It will slowly drift over time and finally after about 4-5 weeks, we realize the steering wheel is too far down and wonāt go up anymore, or the seat wonāt lower from my wifeās memory...
While thereās some truth to the entitled attitudes, certainly asking for features isnāt necessarily absurdā¦especially as this is the way of the industry now. Itās not like ONLY rivian does software updates and no one else will everā¦.its becoming part of consumer expectations.
Just because a...
We were. Not that we care which back windows lock, but the fact that the front passenger window locks WITH the back windows is very annoying. I canāt recall a car that did that before. So itās a welcome change to decouple the front passenger from the rear.
Currently USAA, have been wanting to ditch them for years. Finally getting serious about it with a huge increase on homeowners even though weāve never made a claim (unlike many of our neighbors who had their roof replaced for no damn reason).
USAA - $820 for 6 month premium (300k/500k) in TX...
Jesus, whereās that ban hammer when you need it? Went from 0-100 quicker than a Rivian.
FWIW if you donāt work for the company then this post simply seems ignorant and I think that point has been proven 10x over. But donāt let anyone else tell you how to spend your money - the economy needs...
A cell phone and bag of cash for when we get stuck in the restaurant parking lot. ?
Good info on this thread - Iāve actually got some Factor 55 items in my cart just to have in caseā¦.the hitch receiver, soft shackles, and kinetic rope. Basically the critical pieces from the āofficialā Rivian kit.
100%. How quickly weāve gone from it costs what it costs to straight up discounts. While they could still have a good backlog and theyāre just trying to make quotes annual numbers, Iāll be curious to see how that backlog looks in 1H 2024.
I put a deposit on my Taycan ($5k) for a 12-18 month delivery window - but it was fully refundable (and I did get it refunded as I found one that came in to my spec early).
So if even Porsche is willing to refund a (much larger) deposit, who does Rivian think they are?
Yes, getting out of a...
