  1. Now Available: 2024.07.02 Software Update: Tesla Supercharger Access Coming Soon, Navigation Improvements, Room Entry And Exit Enhancements & More

Hopefully the nav updates work well, tired of the car wanting to take us around in circles. This is also welcome: ā€œFixed an intermittent issue in which the overhead lights didn’t turn on if you opened a door while the vehicle was asleepā€.
  2. My unsolicited five step plan for saving Rivian

Disappointed this hasn’t been posted yet.
  3. Seat/Wheel Memory Config Drift

Update: Service Center told me they believe the memory module for the steering wheel was faulty and replaced it. I’ll report back after some time to see if it continues to drift or if it is indeed fixed. Might just be worth mentioning it in your next service ticket though.
  4. 2024.03 Software Update *BETA* (Quick Controls, Individual Passenger Window Locking, Ride Feel & Ride Height Improvements & More)

I don’t understand why this is a debate? A company or representative of a company, speaking on behalf of said company, has made a claim assuring a feature will come in the future. They should absolutely be held to it - otherwise everyone ends up making promises out of nothing just to sell a...
  5. Out of Spec's Kyle gets over 450 miles from a new Porsche Taycan prototype

Yep - on my frequent trips from Austin to Dallas in the Tesla Y Performance I stopped in Waco to charge, every time, without question. In the Taycan (4S CT as well), I rip it all the way to Dallas and charge when I get there. Not only because Porsche knows how to properly estimate their range...
  6. Out of Spec's Kyle gets over 450 miles from a new Porsche Taycan prototype

I love my 4S CT and don’t want to upgrade, but more range is about the only thing missing from this car. And it’s not bad, but if I was buying it now I wouldn’t say no to more.
  7. Seat/Wheel Memory Config Drift

Lol nope. At first I just assumed I had packed on some extra holiday fluff.
  8. Seat/Wheel Memory Config Drift

To be fair, it was meant to be mine, then my wife wanted it so I got something better - err, else, something else. ? Crisis of ownership I suppose :)
  9. Seat/Wheel Memory Config Drift

About once a month we have to use the calibration tool for the seat and steering wheel memory positions. It will slowly drift over time and finally after about 4-5 weeks, we realize the steering wheel is too far down and won’t go up anymore, or the seat won’t lower from my wife’s memory...
  10. 2024.03 Software Update *BETA* (Quick Controls, Individual Passenger Window Locking, Ride Feel & Ride Height Improvements & More)

Hah, yes, the ride is rougher in soft than any of the states options above. But agree that if someone is in pain they need a doctor!
  11. 2024.03 Software Update *BETA* (Quick Controls, Individual Passenger Window Locking, Ride Feel & Ride Height Improvements & More)

While there’s some truth to the entitled attitudes, certainly asking for features isn’t necessarily absurd…especially as this is the way of the industry now. It’s not like ONLY rivian does software updates and no one else will ever….its becoming part of consumer expectations. Just because a...
  12. 2024.03 Software Update *BETA* (Quick Controls, Individual Passenger Window Locking, Ride Feel & Ride Height Improvements & More)

We were. Not that we care which back windows lock, but the fact that the front passenger window locks WITH the back windows is very annoying. I can’t recall a car that did that before. So it’s a welcome change to decouple the front passenger from the rear.
  13. Bluetooth Causes Maxed Volume After Exit

I’ve still yet to be able to fix it. I think I’ll add it to my ticket for February service.
  14. What insurance companies are you all using?

Currently USAA, have been wanting to ditch them for years. Finally getting serious about it with a huge increase on homeowners even though we’ve never made a claim (unlike many of our neighbors who had their roof replaced for no damn reason). USAA - $820 for 6 month premium (300k/500k) in TX...
  15. NACS Supercharger adapter available for purchase for the adventurous

Jesus, where’s that ban hammer when you need it? Went from 0-100 quicker than a Rivian. FWIW if you don’t work for the company then this post simply seems ignorant and I think that point has been proven 10x over. But don’t let anyone else tell you how to spend your money - the economy needs...
  16. Mobile tech fixed dash speaker grill rattle -- details & photos

Do you have an audio clip? Ours likely has a similar rattle.
  17. What Do You Keep In Your Rivian for Recovery?

A cell phone and bag of cash for when we get stuck in the restaurant parking lot. ? Good info on this thread - I’ve actually got some Factor 55 items in my cart just to have in case….the hitch receiver, soft shackles, and kinetic rope. Basically the critical pieces from the ā€œofficialā€ Rivian kit.
  18. End of Year rush?

100%. How quickly we’ve gone from it costs what it costs to straight up discounts. While they could still have a good backlog and they’re just trying to make quotes annual numbers, I’ll be curious to see how that backlog looks in 1H 2024.
  19. Rivian deposit refund refusal

I put a deposit on my Taycan ($5k) for a 12-18 month delivery window - but it was fully refundable (and I did get it refunded as I found one that came in to my spec early). So if even Porsche is willing to refund a (much larger) deposit, who does Rivian think they are? Yes, getting out of a...
